    why don't they just take video and stop typing for ever?

      Video/audio recordings can mess up easily and the audio may not properly pick up during the proceeding. Therefore, it's going to be a big issue when you don't find this until the end of the trial and you can't relive those moments verbatim from what happened in the courtroom so all of those important factors from the trial are lost. That is why you need a live reporter in the room.

      @@alissarivas788 they just need 4 microphones and 4 cameras for every corner with good recording quality.
