hey there, next one to look at is the radiator then get a coolant flush to make sure there is no blockages in the coolant system. If those don't work then the Last part in the system would be a plugged heater hose. Considering it rises while driving fast leads me to think its a blockage in the coolant system or a failing radiator. hope this helps
@detroitking2238 thnx man! dam if the radiator hasn't been changed I would start with a coolant flush, I bet you have a blockage. Also the shop doing the coolant flush can diagnose any other issue while performing the coolant flush, so it's a win win
My 2011 300c, has been leaking coolant, it has overheated 2x, had to refilll antifreeze a few times in the past year, its hard to get a honest answer from certain mechanics, could it be the waterpump? Thermostat ? Ripped hose ?
hey there, it's either a small leak in the water pump gasket or the radiator. If the leak is hard to find its small, in this case I would replace the water pump, thermostat and temp sensor as they all attach to the water pump. The parts are really cheap at rockauto.com at this point you would see where it's leaking, if it ends up being the radiator and the hoses attached no biggie, replace those and you should be good to go. either way at this point the hemi being overheated twice, most of the cooling system will probably need to be replaced anyways. the alternative is to go to a shop for a "leakdown" where they add dye to your coolant and let it run, the dye will leak out and identify what is leaking. Hope this helps!
thanks its really helpfull for me now. Just one question after when u top up coolant, its neccessary to leave the coolant tank cup off? or i can put when i fill up the system?
Hey there, leaving the cap off was just percausiannary incase any air bubbles came up. You can definitely choose to put the cap on right after filling the coolant tank up and run it. Thnx for watching!
2 questions sir and great video you make it seem so easy 1. Do I need to drain coolant from the bottom 2. Is it the same as changing the pump on a 2006 chrysler 300 z
Hey there! 1. Just place a pan to catch the coolant below, when you remove the coolant return hose the coolant drains itself, it is the same as a 2006 chrysler 300c, the alternative set ups have the coolant reservoir on the passenger side near the front but those seem to be 2015+ hemis. thnx for watching!
Great Video! I've got to do the same thing like in a few days. and Hope you answer in time, but what sysmptoms were you experiencing that made you change out the Tensioner and Water Pump? I'm having issues, and think it could be the Tensioner, but a small chance the water pump could be faulty as well, or on it's last leg anyway. thanks in advance!
Hey there! The water pump gasket failed and started leaking, technically I didn't need to change the tensioner, but I changed it out while I was there like the temp sensor and the thermostat. a failing tensioner would cause squeeking sounds as it's not able to grab the pulleys effectively. Also even though it was the gasket that failed on the water pump I would bet the pulley bearing has aged and its on the way out, so replacing the whole water pump was more of peace of mind. Hope this helps and thank you for watching!
@@moparbro Thanks for the reply! My hose at the "T" fitting by the firewall popped off and the T is busted. So I have to replace that T fitting and hope that fixes my issue. If not and I still get over heating I'll replace the Tensioner Pulley and the Water pump. I do see my tensioner pulley bounce with the cam lob. Don't think that's supposed to happen. So If I'm replacing that, I might as well replace the water pump as well.
hey there, try changing thermostat if it hasn't been changed out, if it has, I experienced new ones fail in a couple of weeks after install, next step would the the radiator with a coolant flush to rule.out any blockages in the coolant system. If those don't fix it it's most likely a plugged heater core. Atleast going this way if it did end up being the heater core at the end everything is replaced. Also the heater core is hard to get to and harder to install. Anyways try those! thnx for watching!

Hey quick question. How do you know the water pump is no good ? . I got a 2013 Chrysler 300c hemi and it’s been overheating in 50 degrees weather 🤦🏽♂️
hey there, either the propeller bearing goes and it's loud when it spins or it leaks coolant, for overheating I would try replacing the thermostat first and see if that works
Yeah I’ve replaced my thermostat for the 3rd time and still overheat . I’ve check around the water pump and it looks like has a slow leak from under the water pump .
hey there, simply replace it here's a vid that shows how : ruclips.net/video/geIfTFgZO_Q/видео.html If the bolt is siezed, try heating the bolt up with a torch to free it up, thnx for watching!
Hey there! in the video it looks like it cuts after having some trouble with the temp sensor. How did you ultimately get the temp sensor off? I'm having trouble and my black tab to pull down on is breaking. Lol any advice?

It’s easiest to take off the pump; then remove the lower radiator hose. Better access to clamp, I felt. Did mine yesterday.
yea tru, thnx for commenting!
Great vid! Thanks for posting. Watched this and changed out my water pump in only a couple hours.
thats awesome! thnx for watching and sharing!
My water pump seized up on the way to work today, chilling and watching this while the engine cools to get home hah.
ah dam that sucks, glad ur safe! thnx for watching!

I gasket make not needed for the thermostat?
Hey there, the thermostat for the hemi comes with a rubber gasket that's on the thermostat itself and not the water pump like other engines.
Very good video sir! Thank you! God bless🙏
thank you for watching! 🙏🔥
