While your video shows hikers at the false summit, and that most hikers go here as well, the true high point of the peak is further on. It requires some class 3 scrambling, and has the benchmark and register. While it's safety first, the top is the top. Some or most say that you have to climb to the top to claim the peak ascent, as real peak clubs will dictate. This can be done safely, with rope and what precautions, but it does take some skill and knowledge.

Thank you for sharing. Yes I have been to both the false and true summits. This time we stopped at the false summit and enjoyed the views from there.
Where is this exactly? Is there an established trail/route leading up there?
Round Top is just south of South Lake Tahoe. Yes, there is a solid trail leading to the summit and a good scramble for the last few 100 yards.
