Targeting calls are extremely hard to call in most situations. I've seen entire games suddenly change because a team loses one of their best play makers early in the game, and the lessor team gains a huge advantage. Maybe make them lose 15 minutes of PT, but not this half and the next half. That's too much in many situations. Maybe like the running into the kicker type penalty, where sometimes it's 5 yards and other times is worse. Maybe look at how extreme it is and how intentional it appears.
And the history of the player , to take into account. Like the dirty player in Detroit years ago. He automatically doesn't get the benefit of the the doubt 😂

I'm not a fan of the targeting rule. In extreme cases I agree but they get it wrong so many times and the rule is too broad.

I truly believe that the targeting rule is used as a political tool from the higher Authorities to manipulate the outcomes of the games, and particular players. Especially since Gambling is involved. We can clearly see if someone is deliberately trying to hurt someone in a dangerous way.

Targeting calls are extremely hard to call in most situations. I've seen entire games suddenly change because a team loses one of their best play makers early in the game, and the lessor team gains a huge advantage. Maybe make them lose 15 minutes of PT, but not this half and the next half. That's too much in many situations. Maybe like the running into the kicker type penalty, where sometimes it's 5 yards and other times is worse. Maybe look at how extreme it is and how intentional it appears.
And the history of the player , to take into account. Like the dirty player in Detroit years ago. He automatically doesn't get the benefit of the the doubt 😂
