I love how light and airy this song feels, it genuinely makes me feel so happy and hopeful for the future. it's a good contrast to how so many songs focus of the worst parts of life, this one, old as it may be, still feels fresh and new because of that.

Colon cancer (from what my mom's doctor said) is usually treatable, if caught early.
I'm curious as to if he had gone to other doctors with complaints, but maybe the idea of it being colon cancer was brushed off or not thought of due to his age. But I don't want to intrude on his family's time right now.

when I was a child I always listened to this song on the radio, I miss being a child so much
I was going through the comments but the video is so much more different than what it seems to be. The song isn't really talking abou the 'specially gifted' people being the heroes in the video. The lyrics and all are meant for the man (Alesso) who saves them. He is being addressed as a hero because in spite, of not having 'special' powers, he does things no one else did and that was sacrifice his life for others. Hero is used for him because he does something that even the specially gifted couldn't do. He freed them when they couldn't free themselves. Sometimes all it takes is one thought ,some times all it takes is one gesture to become a hero. And the song tells us we can all be heroes without special powers.
