  • PLEASE READ!
Don't forget to asset track afterwards! :)
    1. ( ALT + T ) = Opening the asset tracking window
    2. In the left top corner, click on the symbol to refresh your asset tracking 'list'/window. Otherwise, you might be missing some information.
I made these 3Ds Max ideos for the Game Development students at my college, because they all had the same questions.

so whats the purpose of baking..stuff ? when its needed? I also seen this term used for transfering the normal maps from high poly to low poly so Im even more confused
PS: are you doing these videos for a particular purpose?

When you bake something onto a texture, it optimizes/decreases the rendering time in realtime. If you're making a game, you bake as much as possible onto it, so that you don't have to place actual lights into the scene. This will save a lot of calculation time, because it's just a texture that stays the same and needs no calculation at all.
I am making these videos because a group of developers at my college needed some guidance for a low poly task they were working on.

OrphydianLearning First year developers :) They are specialized in programming. I study a more art specialized major, so it's only logical that I would help them out.
