This is great to have a nice audio archive of Dick's very enjoyable anecdotes and memories; he is so sharp and clever at 90. I know he's done lots of interviews on video over the years but this is unique, and it's made by guys who clearly love showbiz. The ACP show is a good venue, always feels comfortable and fun. Oh, and that Hitler joke that Gilbert told in this episode ... I haven't laughed so loud in a while.
On The Dick Van Dyke Show, Rob’s best friend was a dentist named Jerry who was played by an actor (Jerry Paris) who sometimes directed the show. A few years later on The Bob Newhart Show Bob’s best was a dentist named Jerry played by Peter Bonerz, who sometimes directed the show. Has anyone else ever thought of this?
Thank you, Gilbert and Frank. "The Dick Van Dyke Show" has been my favorite comedy series since I was a child. I adore and revere this man. I hate to correct the wonderful Mr. Van Dyke, and probably he doesn't know this, but: Morey Amsterdam did not write the lyrics to "Rum and Coca-Cola." He owned the copyright, but the lyrics were actually by Rupert Grant. It's all a bit unpleasant, since Grant was black and Amsterdam claiming credit for his work feels uncomfortably like exploitation. But he's certainly right about the terrible "Bye Bye Birdie" movie. A charming show got lost in the process.
Been listening for a while this is GOLD the subject😂😂 who is Dick, The interview Frank and mostly Gill , Goddanm what a fresh view towards enertainment in general. Seriously love you guys you taught me a lot and im gonna keep watching these for so many reasons ✌
Please turn comments on in your other videos. I'm guessing it was an accident on the uploaders part, but would love to see what other people have to say while I'm watching an episode.

Never clicked in my noggin. How great would it be if the actor wasn't named Peter Bonerz but Jerry Bonerz, LOL.

Shame they avoided covering he worked with Benny Hill who was only the most popular comedian in the world.
What a great sport and genuinely nice man. 😊👍
The Comic is an excellent movie and it should be on DVD. I'd buy it in a second.
