This is so POWERFUL! I've never been to Detroit, I have to come to see this museum - especially the ship. So glad you are taking your BEAUTIFUL children to educate them on our rich history. So important. Our people have overcome so much and still we rise - by the Grace of God.
I love this ❤️ showing kids their roots is so so important and impactful of their lives gotta know where you came from before you get to where you’re going!
Thanks for the reminder of my visit. Went years ago but didn't have pictures. If you haven't gone to the National African-American Museum in D.C., I highly recommend it.
This is really nice and interesting. This is very important for everyone to see. Thanks for sharing with us. Thanks very much for your support and I'm here to support you too
I never been to this museum and the slave ship is something I’ve hear about for years but when I heard the talking and crying I immediately just felt so much emotions to the point where I teared up.
If we are going to show the history and culture of the north America black people and you are BLACK in a walking tour, please don't speak in third person. The person narrating this walking tour, with small children and talking to the children as tho this is not our heritage. As a supporter of museums and cultural sites, it was the hardest video for me to watch. I watched it because I want to visit the site on my trip to Detroit. This type of video is in the public space. And the ignorance of the person talking was so painful to listen to. People we must do better, if we are to ask other races and cultures to respect us as north America black people.
I went there when I was in 3rd grade and I was crying and I rlly wanted to leave. But it’s good that they are educating children
