His tone and mastery of the tuba's upper register, on what I'm guessing is an F horn, is remarkable. My assessment of the music itself is less charitable. Thomas Leleu surely doesn't want to become the Kenny G of lower brass.
@@jerseycitysteve don’t get me wrong he is an amazing musician the tone is brilliant. I’m just not a fan of the horn itself. Sounds too similar to a euphonium in my opinion.
@@prinzjohn75 I hear you. The F tuba has that sound. I'm so old I remember Roger Bobo having a similar sound in his Carnegie Recital Hall concert. Of course, he used his C tuba with the LA philharmonic for the strong sound.
