Beautiful car! The 190s with the 4 cylinder here in SoCal used to be very affordable until about 2010. Now people recognize how cool they are.

Yep... a half decent one is 100K+ USD now. Great to just hear the rpms going up and down, with no one prattling on about what we all already know about these cars. His gloves and shoes nearly matched the interior, too!

Wow, fantastisch! Eine solche Leistungsentfaltung schon in den50ern. Fast identische Daten mit dem heutigen Peugeot 206 cc Cabrio. Leistung, PS , Drehzahl, Geschwindigkeit, Gewicht, fast gleich. .
Aber damals sicher kein Hausfrauenauto, wie man im Video sieht. Im Gegensatz zum 206 cc , der wohl kaum über 2000/Umin heute gefahren wird...
Very nice, but would have been better if you had had the camera in a lower down position so we can see both the inside of the vehicle and the road ahead.

Beautiful car interior. I'm assuming this is the twin Solex carbureted engine with what, 120HP? My 2002 SVT Ford Focus had a 2 liter, F.I. DOHC that developed 170 HP at 7,000 rpm and with a 6 speed Getrag dual layshaft transmission, had a top speed of 135-137 mph. I owned the 73rd one built out of a total of 4,788. The suspension was outstanding on that car too!
And your Ford will be worth a tiny fraction of the 190SL.....for ever😂
@@WeeShoeyDugless - Nothing new there sport! You must be genius to figure that out! LOL Those 190s are way overrated from my standpoint. People paying inflated prices on the 190 since the 300 SLs are off the chart. The 300s are real Mercedes luxury sport vehicles that can carry it off. The 190 is a cute little grocery getter, and that's about all.

@@WeeShoeyDugless- Speaking of rotting before they left the production line. My friend and neighbor's Dad bought a new, I think, 1957 190 SL roadster. He was a German American - Lienhardt, and enjoyed the car for less than 4 years when it developed THE WORSE decay I have ever seen on a car - not rust spots on the surface, but holes large enough to pass a cat or small dog through!! Unbelievable POS rust bucket. So don't try to make Mercedes sound perfect, because they clearly aren't, just like every other auto maker.
