It's a shame that it is so political. Depending on who you vote for, our connection with sustainable forestry could be inadvertently lost. There's a better way forward for native forestry that can create healthier more resilient ecosystems, largely by thinning and cultural burning. I fear that the opportunity for constructive dialogue will be lost if the opposing parties continue to support a complete closure without engaging with the science and broader community, particularly those directly impacted. 100% James! If the industry is shut down completely the eco systems won’t cope as there won’t be new young growth. Hopefully the politicians wake up to this
