I’ve seen ten tutorials right now from big and small creators but this tutorial is my fav. No chit chat no zoom ins on weird faces no drama and the BEST RESULT!!! love how nice and perfectly fitted your dress looking at the end!
youre so good, rewatching this after 3 years and finally giving it a go. Literally the best method ive seen on youtube for a cowl and girl went on to draft a whole ass bodice, well done 👏🎬👗❤️❤️❤️
Ok I'm so offended rn at the amount of subscribers you have!? I've been watching all your videos and you have some serious skills, some of the most beautiful ideas I've seen in a while.
You did a very good job, nice and beautiful dress, but please since you are not doing the voice over, let the subtitles stay a little longer since we are trying to read, understand, watch intently and process what you are doing and when working on the full dress form let it be zoomed out so we can see everything you are doing because some parts were cut off. Other than that. It was nice watching you for the first time
I am obsessed with your channel!! I love how you also show how to make your own pattern with your own measurements, the dress is absolutely stunning!!!!
I have seen multiple cowl neck dress tutorials, but i didn't satisfied. Then I came here of course for the satisfaction & right guidance for the dress and Omg your tutorial is so perfect clean & nicely explained each & every step. Thank you so much dear for making this video. Now I gonna start making my dress❤
As someone teaching myself to sew this was as easy as it gets to follow along! Most of the terms you were using were new to me but I was able to figure them out just by watching you. Ive definitely subscribed! The dress was super cute and adorable!
Thank you I’ve never really made a good dress this would be my first time trying something nice yet I’m not scared cus I understand the video. Also, what’s the grain line meant for? Edited: so I’m done making this dress only that I made a top instead and it’s really cute. For a learner like me, it took me close to 9hrs going through trial and error but I’m proud I pulled it off. Mine is cute and versatile. The neck became a lil to wide for me cus I used 3inches but I was able to adjust it. I’ll advise you use 2-2.5 inches if you’re size small.
Hey I’m glad you tried this out and figured out the corrections and adjustments to make for your size. And for grain line, my explanation might not be the best so I recommend you google it or search RUclips for videos explaining what a grain line is. I hope this helps. And btw if you can tag me on Instagram, I will be glad to see the top you made. 🥰
@@PurpleishFluffyClouds I am talking about from 4:19-4:26 where she said add 2-4 inches. When I made another one, I discovered the problem was not using 3 inches, the problem came from the armpit. I sewed a few centimeters instead of half an inch. I hope this was helpful?
Hey I'm from India I'm just worried past few days about how I'll i stitch or practice this kind of dress I'm dumb or Not perfect at all but noww just see ur video after lots of searching noww I ammmm soo much happy thnkeww God bless you dear friend 😘🤞
My prom dress is in progress and your video was seriously the best help I could ask for :) I will make it a little different than yours but for the neck part it was very helpful!
I am new new to sewing and your tutorial is my first for a dress I have only made skirts so far and even tho it is taking me days because I messed up and spent days trying to fix my mess up cause I didn’t have enough fabric to redo the front I ended up just cutting off the messed up part and seeing new section on. But I made it way to complicated lol now I finally patched up the oops I can finally get to making the straps and start putting it together! I am praying it looks decent enough to wear to bed and hopefully my next one will be worthy for leaving the home :p but I do love that you get straight to the point but for a beginner I wish the video was a little bit slower so I don’t have to keep rewinding to read subtitles and then watch what you do. I am a visual learning so the video is a little to fast for me lol but that’s what the rewind button is for I suppose!
I love this tutorial. It’s very simple compared to other ones of a similar type and super easy to follow. I wondered if you had any advice for making this full length? I’m having trouble cutting on the bias because the skirt is so long. Any tips would be helpful!
A deep thank you!!! It’s exactly what I was looking for!!! The lengths are perfect. My English is not perfect but you explained and showed perfectly 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼🤩
This one is amazing!! i will definitely try it. Can you list the presser foot, the yarn and the needle you used in the description box? And maybe the weight of your fabric? I'm a total beginner 🙈 Can you do an elegant office appropriate dress next? 💖
Wow amazing dress. this is look very beautiful. your cutting and stitching very beautiful. you are very talented sister.l really like this video. May God bless you....... always 😊🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
This is so awesome - thank you! Question: Does the resulting pattern have no ease at all? It looks as though there isn't any (but also no negative ease). Is that correct?
thank you so much for this tutorial! but for the shoulder measurements, is it half of my diameter (all around my shoulder) or half of the length of my shoulders (from one end to one end, not 3d measurements) if thay makes sense
@@StarDedee Thank you soo much!! and let me ask you just one more question. I've seen so many videos of this kind of dress but they use a zipper, I imagine because of the narrow measure in the waist. Why don't you need it? is it because your fabric stretches? Thank you so much!
Sorry, I've just seen in the minute 6:42 you talk about this, so then I understand the fabric is not stretchy but as it is cut on the bias this is enough... am I right? 😅 thanks!!
I'm currently trying to make a cowl neck but I'm stuck at the straps. I know where they go on the bodice but can someone explain to me how to sew them in? Even watching this great tutorial (which is WAY more clear than the others I've found) I still am confused. Do you fold right sides of the bodice together then put the strap in the fold? Or does it go perpendicular?
Lovely tutorial but please am confused about something, what’s the effect of the grain line and how does it relate to not putting a zip allowance , if there’s no zip how will the dress enter the body. Also the measurements you did for the strap is it according to what you measured on your body or it’s a standard measurement . Please let me know 🙏
Is this tutorial recommended for beginners? I only just started sewing and have made only one hoodie so far. So whilst the instructions are very clear Im nervous to start a project like this 😅 I love the video by the way!
Question do we fold the facing under the pattern when we cut the fabric or do you cut the fabric with the facing out? Im confused how the facing part out will create the neck line
O MY GOD. this is perfect. its so lovely. and this is the first time I've watch making this dreass im so impressed. your so talented for making this diy. i really love it. hope you read this. and i injoy watching how you making it💜💜💜💜💜jinja/jeongmal neomu yeoppu

@@StarDedee of course!!!
I am confused with what happened at 3:34 - did you cut off the neckline at the 5 inch armhole mark?
@@Pugslover yes exactly
Wow im a newbie for this sewing thing, so bored in this quarantine haha, but only for the “patterns part” it’s already took me more than 2 hours 😂

Hello! This is beautiful and looks very clear. I was wondering if you need poly satin with any stretch to it?
It doesn’t need to have stretch because it’s cut on diagonal
