I like that this is made in the US by a family-owned business. I saw this product linked on a post about recent rescues of exhausted dogs in my area. While I am mindful about my dog’s abilities when hiking, I’ve been meaning to get one in case of emergency, but didn’t like the one always popping up as an ad on my Facebook feed. When I saw this I knew it would be perfect: packable, lightweight, and strong!
Can’t wait for it to be delivered so we can practice with it!

Thank you for this video and demostration. Are there any harnesses like this that are integrated into a backpack? seems it would be better for a heavy dog to be high up on your back and shoulders.

I had consider something like this but when my dog was bitten by a snake.. I had a surge of adrenaline and was ready to pick him up and run to the car but I wasn't expecting him to be in so much pain. He screamed everytime I tried to lift him. We had to slowly walk back to the car which felt horrifying long. Thankfully we made it to the hospital and he survived (after a 4 days in ICU). I wonder if something like this would have been any help or if he still would have been in too much pain to allow the pressure against his chest/ stomach. I still want to consider having everything and anything on hand in case of emergencies.
