As someone just starting in leather craft I envy your craftsmanship. As a Brit living under a nanny state where carrying anything bigger than 3inches will get you arrested (including ALL lock knives) I envy you the knife too! 😀 I still own a big ass Bowie I bought 30 + years ago and a couple of others I also carried on my webbing (5th generation British Military) but they all stay quietly at home these days. Even though I daily carry a pocket knife that could conceivably get me in trouble (I live on the canals and like most Bargees keep a sharp blade to hand...twice I have come to the aid of someone who didn't!) When not on my boat I envy America the freedoms you still have that we have lost! Hang onto your freedoms. They are easily lost and hard to win back!
Very helpful video. Great artwork on the sheath! Trying to decide what i want for my BK2 - definitely hate the plastic sheath that it came with - I definitely like what you did here! Thanks!
Wow! Functional, quality, excellent craftsmanship, Beautiful color's. A real piece of work. I travel extensively. jungles volcanos, rivers, S,A, and Asia. Would love to show off a fine piece like that. BK-2. It is art however i would have to use it. Nice you've done well !!!!
Just like to tell you thank you!! Now your wondering why. Well you have inspired me to get back into leather craft again. I used to do it a lot. But over the years things change. Well I've slowed down a lot. An needed a hobby again. So all my Christmas presents are handmade this year out of leather. Thank you sir!!
I love the work that you do this video was cool hi to work whether I just now getting into working with leather and I'm having a very hard time I don't have much money so I don't have a lot of the tools what I really need is somebody like you a mentor to help me learn what to do thank you for all of your videos
Brother. I am IN LOVE with your work. I HOPE AND PRAY to be able to own some of your custom leather pieces. I’ve actually talked to my better half about learning how to leather craft because of you. She’s totally on board with it and I can’t wait to start! Please keep these videos coming.
Definitely like watching you work and the FF with the music was just awesome and the turn out of your leathercraft is equally awesome Brother love the multi use scout/leg drop. Thank you
Nice work, I think Tom would approve. I see the rivets are recessed so they wont scratch the blade. I saw another sheath maker added a small patch he shaved it down. Any who I'm always learning. Thanks
Nice sheath, I like the scout carry style myself. I spent days looking for this video I remembered seeing it when I was looking for something else and couldn't remember who's video it was, not disappointed at all very well done. I've been looking for ideas for a whole scouting type system, I think I'm going to use inspection from this type sheath for my Mora knife along with a Baldrick for my Tomahawk with a Haversack. Great work I hit like on the video and subscribed I will be watching more of your work. Thanks
Absolutely OUTSTANDING !!! Great video Brother and the music was relaxing and smooth. I have that same exact knife 🔪 when I am able I would love for you to make me one. Stay Frosty and watch your six. Things may get nutty soon, but I sure hope not !
great sheath...really well done! when i saw the one that your family got you.. i was struck by the knife..so i save up.. and i got a black one ... and i tell you that knife will school you.. i keep my edge very sharp.. i practice with it.. that knife does split wood really well.. though i do scout carry it. i have a tendency to want the knife on my left hip so i can draw with my right hand. i have not come up with a solution i can live with... may be a tek lock or may leather i dont know .. J
The t-rex is back at some build it gave me a few ideas for a Walmart fixed blade special knife I have that I keep shaving sharp at all times as with all my knives but this one is special it belonged to friend of mine ( passed away now ) and want to make a better sheath for it.
always love your work you and deano do some of the best leather work out there man i wish i could afford your stuff or his work i would by it for sure great video sir thank you for your service
This is a beautiful piece of work and very inspiring to get into leather work. my only (small/technical) concern is the rivets you put in to hold the flap of the bag on the front, I didn't see any type of material placed over them to protect the knife from the metal? did I miss something or are they recessed enough that they will not scratch that knife or is that not a concern with that type of knife? I'm a newb when it comes to this sort of thing really, so I do not know, and apologize, but wanted to ask.
Hey Justin from Running man forge. I was wondering on the elastic bit for the handle strap, the elastic is looped through the strap, but how does the elastic strands anchor to the main sheath? I didn't see how you did that. Is it glued, or tied or something else?
Wow you do great work wish I had that skill do you know where I can get a leather holster for my eea windactor 2" barrel with a Viking compass in it as a design
What is your email address? I have another question for you as well ok and I hope I make sense hahaha well I order a leather right handed sheath from eBay for my tracker knife and I gave him the demension's of my knife. When I got the sheath I absolutely loved it but it didn't fit correctly on my knife( sheath to small) and the steel snap close horizontal belt straps came lose easily (I think they glued the straps) when I tried to put on my belt. I was wondering if I could send you the sheath& knife so you can remeasure the knife to the sheath and redo the sheath your style. Can you engrave anything or just some stuff?
@@StepOneSurvival I'm on the about section but I can't find your email address just your mail box address. But I'll give you my email address right now I don't mind at all. And you can reuse all the material from my sheath to fix it so it will be easier on you and if I send you a picture of what I want engrave on my sheath do you think you can do it? I'm not doubting your skills at all I'm just asking.
Step One survival could I contact you through Instagram about you fixing my sheath??? Thank you for time and hopefully for your help in the future with sheath I hope to hear from you BA.
How much for your art pieces? I paided 350 for a leather art work for my bk2 and love it ,but I like you still have the original sheif for daily wear and tear

Awesome sheath, your leather burning skill is getting good. I tried using a burner a while back and it was ugly.
I sharpen my tips to a point it helps
That's a good idea.
