Hi Eng. Ojailah appreciate you videos so much, but can you kindly do a complete project starting from foundation to finish roof using the same building?
Thank you for the Tutorial, Engineer i want to ask if assigning loads is it local since you are not inputting the load values with negative sign? Thank you
It should be checked manually according to your norms and country regulations, also people go to schools for that and getting paid. Generally, design shouldn't fail at level of calculation such in Robot. What makes it fail is wrong determination of forces which should be done a cording to local norms. Here in EU we have our standards different than rest of the world.
hello engineer does robot have auto selfweight configuration like staad pro?in your design you inputed a dead load without mentioning.or was it for demonstration purposes.please i eng, i need to know how to add selfweight in robot
Hello, of course it does. In the exercise I solved, I added dead load two times, the first one accounts for the self weight and the other one for the added load. You can revise them after that in load table.
@@RadfanOjailah engineer engineer like in staad pro in the load definition an automatic selfweight of -1 factor is used under dead load before assigning the member load.does robot have a way like that?if so engineer i will like to know from you.
The factor of -1 is used to exclude self -weight from dead load, Robot uses a different way. As I told you, prior to assigning loads, add DL1 and DL2 for load types. Dl1 is automatically considered as self weight, Dl2 hence will be the dead load you have to add. When analyzing, you can see results from every single load type as well as the combinations you add. That means you do not have to recalculate again in order to consider the self weight or ignore it, you just select and results will show up. If you didn't get my point, just let me know. It's been a while away from robot.
@@louismeoto2126 Sure it does. For the RC design module, go to Calculation options-->Advanced options-->Automatic generation of self-weight for new beams
If you want to print all the calculations and results Once you're on the calculation note tab, click on file, save as, "and select the suitable one to be opened by ms word. If you want only the tabled results, open the tables then save them from file In both cases you can print them directly from ms word
Very good tutorial. I have been struggling with Robot for years, and these lessons are helping me a lot.
I have been looking for this a long time. Thank you.
thanks for the tutorial..it actually helped me alot.
May God bless engineer.
very helpful, thanks
brilliant presentation...

Sure, I've plans to do so, but these days I'm a little bit busy.
Give me some time
OK thanks for the quick response.
@@RadfanOjailah a good idea. Just a simple building, but from the beginning to end. I can't thank you enough for that 👍
Excellent

Why does robot not respect vertical distance between rebars
very good
Is Indian structureal steel sections ad per IS 800 is available in RSA Prof.
thank you very much
You're welcome
Can you do one for a single column?
me too
how to change concrete cover?
How you can say pass or fail?
hi eng. how can we know if the design has passed or failed
I got same question

Hello sir, how do do I make a grade R like the one shown in the video ? with the rebar table starting from 6 till 32 ?
Hi, Is there any way to insert I (Moment of inertia ) in Robot without Know the cross-section?
It depends on your question, give me details

Hi! The beam is inactive in my software. How can I make it active?

5:41 Mmax=52.60 kNm, Mc=166.18 kNm. Is beam carrying exaggerated ?
+Adam Boniek Numbers are just exampkes and chosen randomly in order to illustrate the lesson... just take the ideo not the numbers

the amount of rebar is absurd
