IIRC, number 6 is actually used! Just very few people ever experienced it. It is for when 4 players do a contest with link cables. Each system plays one of the 4 tracks, creating the full song!
The first theme was not for a town, like I thought it was, it was actually meant for when you trade pokemon. The two gameboy systems would both "sing" the theme.
9 was used for testing purposes. Edits: 8 was the same. Same for 10. 11 was also the same unless they actually were going to put Kanto in. 18 too 19 most likely as well
I really liked the unused route 3 version among others that sounded really good. There was a diglett’s cave theme and a possible professor oak victory theme, and a version of the clefairy dance/stadium 2 victory theme
@@jamesjosh2169 I never understood why people thought it was for the “hurry, get away” battle type of all things, it sounds nothing like what that would be, this sounds intimidating, that would likely be fast paced and frantic. My theory was that this was an encounter theme for the elite four, or for their chambers
The unused Blue/Red song was a trading theme where one Gameboy would play one channel, & the other Gameboy would play the other channel. The non-corrupted original version has been found in a Red/Blue beta leak: ruclips.net/video/6HNWZj2cC_8/видео.html
The 2nd one the yellow one can be heard by going to cloud city by using game freak’s secret cheat code that will give you a mysterious bird Pokèmon and it will make you fly to cloud city
What if this is for the developers to determine instrumentation for the R&S soundtrack? Perhaps the R&S melodies weren’t even conceived yet and they used already completed G&S as a starting point.
Pokemon gold silver and crystal.... What can I say about the second generation? Whenever I listen to their final song it makes me nostalgic and I remember those funny and frustrating moments but in the end it is worth it considering that you can listen to that beautiful song the second gen in my opinion my favorite, hg / ss thank you very much for remastering the theme (even if you haven't used it)

There wasn't an unused Viridian theme for FRLG afaik, that one is in RSE, it is based on the version from GSC (which is why it's way better imo, the GSC takes for the Kanto tunes are pretty damn good)
25:37 This one is actually used... But only if you mess up with the void glitch. So I think that shouldn't count in consideration lol EDIT: same goes for 33:02, since it's the Mystery Zone theme. EDIT2: 38:43 This one is used in Platinum tho.
Wow, the beta trainer was so much bigger. Pokèmon in origin has always been more mature, manlier and adult, and epic, etc, than the final product. Not just the very first game. Every other too, or at least most of them. Even the anime. In Pokemon X and Y they initially wanted to put a choice between the character being 14 or 18. Eventually the character looks in the middle of that, which is the most adult character so far, but if they would've done that, that would've been the first adult usable character, and the successive ones would've been made more personalizable too. They decide to dumb everything down and pander to babies in every case. It's true, if they would make the products more epic and adult, much less people would buy them. So you can't even fully blame them for it. However, art matters more than money, and Pokémon has only been the epitome of this fact, considering the drastic decrease in quality and ludic value it underwent, endless remakes, endless resellings, lazy products, to Nintendo even making an apology for their richest, trillion dollars software house, releasing bugged unfinished games lmao. It's such an immoral mockery. Pandering solely to babies that never cared about pokemon and won't care the next day, with the excuse of "pandering to everyone".

Basically what number one was meant to do lol, since it was the trade theme
@@solgaleo3533 maybe number 1 was an early version of it
Got this in my recommendations after the massive leak. Kinda crazy how much more beta music there still is out there.
The first theme was not for a town, like I thought it was, it was actually meant for when you trade pokemon. The two gameboy systems would both "sing" the theme.
Yeah this was confirmed a few years after the video was uploaded
Jubilife City theme here is a lot more chill than the final release
I’m p sure it’s just missing the lead
9 was used for testing purposes.
Edits:
8 was the same.
Same for 10.
11 was also the same unless they actually were going to put Kanto in.
18 too
19 most likely as well
I see you're a month or two early from the leak, we have a whole lot more beta music now

The Beta Eterna City theme wasn’t meant for Eterna, it was meant for Celestic Town, as it’s night theme.

The first one is cute 😭

Cloud city is a hack
lol without the romhack context this sounds like an old playground rumor
It’s weird knowing official RSE remixes of GSC music were in the game’s files, they were this close to full on start remaking GSC for the GBA
What if this is for the developers to determine instrumentation for the R&S soundtrack? Perhaps the R&S melodies weren’t even conceived yet and they used already completed G&S as a starting point.
I prefer the beta eterna city theme over the actual eterna city theme.
I like it a lot, sounds more instrumental

25:11 was this... really an effective way of testing the instrument generation, or if not that, drafting a track?
That Regi battle theme for diamond and pearl is so cool. They should have kept it for regigigas
They used it for platinum
Route 205 from diamond and pearl is in platinum lol i heard this track as a kid and remember it fondly
I used to be so intrigued by the Undertale and deltarune unused sprites and audio, but this is even more intriguing.

If I went to hear #11 without any clue, I would've believed it was from a DS pokemon game at early stages.

I don't think so?
Kinda crazy how toned down the Beasts theme started compared to how it was revamped for HGSS
16 is used: it's the music for the Mystery Zone!
Holy shit it's DUDE from Pokémon Gold Version
The Regis theme got used for the event in Platinum.
Why am I just now finding this!
I’m pretty sure the PCC was used for the Japanese versions of the game
Am I the only one who likes the beta Route 205 theme more than the final release? Just add in the piano staccatos from the daytime theme.
The first one sounds like a sonic stage

How are PCC and Mobile Adapter unused? They're used in the original Japanese.
We can here the ost 13 in the dark void in the mystery zone 😉
Fun Fact: Pokemon Red and Blue were so broken that Missingno doesnt exist in the Japanese games
Mew worsened it.. for the better.
No, it does, just the way to encounter it is too broken
This isn't a fact at all lol
MissingNo exists because of a bug introduced during localization, the Japanese version is way harder to get.
