My favorite comparison between Gods and Sacred Beasts is how with both I like running 2 of them and always ignore the third one

I originally thought the sacred beasts were a different depiction of the same gods. You know, like how a lot of different mythologies have pretty significant crossover.
Best thing about this series is how you guys say “draw” I swear I be dead over here. Coming from a super early Yugioh player it’s fun to watch you guys play the new stuff I don’t have the patience or friends to play myself
I love how when you tossed away that one card you were rewarded twice with the cards you needed for it lol. Fate just didn't want you being able to win.
Seeing Ruin and Demise being played made me so happy. It's actually my main deck in both Master Duel and IRL to this day.
My initial reaction to the sacred beasts were actually pretty positive I really like the sacred beasts just as much as I love the Egyptian gods and my first initial thought were that these were basically the opposite to the Egyptian gods like the sacred beasts were like devils to the Gods and even in the manga there are three cards specifically meant to be the opposite to the Egyptian gods
So one thing that most progression series do (at least the ones I've seen) is that they don't use every available card. What they do is that both players open digital packs and then they keep what they pull for future sets. So when they do get to a new set they could potentially use a card they used previously to work with the new cards they got.
Your doing something pretty different where every card is available to you but only that set. That's gonna cause a lot of issues because there are a lot of Heroes, Destin Hero, and Cyber Dragon support in the GX era. They need the old cards + polymerization to do anything and since that doesn't exist for you a vast majority of cards are gonna be dead to you

I genuinely liked them in the anime. These obviously dark versions and the way they were used, was so cool.
If watching these two duel was turned into a drinking game, one of the rules would be: take a shot everytime somebody says "Beat thine ass"
Whenever I first saw the sacred beasts, I honestly loved em! I always compared them to the god cards as their evil counterparts, I liked the designs personally. They are a pain to use but I still enjoyed GX and the sacred beasts. My favorites tho are probably the earthbound immortals

As someone who likes the fiend artwork in Yu-Gi-Oh and is always down with demons, zombies, and ghoul kinda shit, seeing “The Egyptian Gods but demonic” I was like YO! That’s fucken sick, give me more please. Plus the fact that the Sacred Beasts have good effects and really good support cards makes it, IMO, a better archetype than the OG Gods
Just minus the fact if the back row is nuked, then the Sacred Beasts' decks are screwed
These type of duels are what Master Duel needs for events. Limit us to older cards or specific packs. Be more interesting then what they do.
I don't think there will be that many players who like waiting 10+ turns to actually make a decent board.
Not they shouldn't do something like that, but I feel that should be a dedicated mode, rather than event.

Every event we’ve had so far should just be dedicated modes.

You guys should add the rule of possibly adding 5-10 cards from the last set played, that would give more variation in games

My first time watching Yu-Gi-Oh was a dvd of the "Pyramid of Light" movie and after that i only watched 2 ramdom episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh GX, one of which was a episode about the Sacred Beasts so i thought they were corrupted versions of the God cards made by Yubel.

The deck conflation is something else.
My first reaction was they were knock offs of the god cards lol.🤣🤣. I thought hamon was ugly, then they grew on me.
The Sacred Beasts seemed cool because they were more demonic versions of the Gods. Also their gimmicks of each one being related to a different card type was interesting. I think they should have made an archetype based around each so they would be more playable separately, rather than lumping them all together. Also if the lore in the show about them was better or at least showed a connection to the Gods, they would be more interesting. Cause randomly looking like the Egyptian Gods is weird for no reason.

I was so excited when I found the legendary collection 2 and realized my Hamon was a misprint and trying to build a deck around it.
Old school YuGiOh was awesome. Now its to much meta and ridiculously expensive cards.
So question
How does this Plant/Insect deck get out 3 Fiends to summon Raviel?
As a kid Obelisk was really the only God Card I liked design wise and it was easier to use. (Though you couldn't legally use the God Cards until way later so I just used them with friends and we just used all the anime effects.) So when I saw the Sacred Beasts I thought they were way cooler with the exception of Hamon. Raviel could bring out a token every time my opponent summoned a monster and it even had one of Obelisks anime effects where it could tribute a monster to gain its attack points. Couldn't figure out a way to use or even bring out the other two back then though.
Well, I was always a big Greek Mythology fan when I was a kid. When I saw the Sacred Beasts, I immediately thought of them as different "versions" of the God Cards in the same way that the Roman Gods are different "versions" of the Greek ones. Now, that's pretty wrong as far as the concept of the Sacred Beasts, but I figured that out later lmao.
Me: “Mom can we get the Egyptian gods?”

Yeah if it wasn't for the anime's censorship pretending Pegasus survived getting his eye ripped out and getting killed by Bakura then they wouldn't have had to make filler arcs to replace the Wicked God Card arc.

Sacred Beasts are what God Cards should've been. They have actual support, good stats [we ignore The 0/0 slifer on this one], and had Mound of the Bound Creator with built in Pot of Greed.
When they give the gods sacred beast level support or better best believe I will do everything in my power to build the deck

When I was first watching Yugioh GX I honestly thought that the sacred beasts were the Egyptian God Cards. So when Jaden dueled the guy using the sacred beasts I was like "who the hell are these goofies"

My initial reaction about the Sacred Beasts is that their designs and names are cool as heck, but also was Kaiba so bitter about Yugi/Yami that he made his own Egyptian God Cards?
In the anime, Pegasus is still alive, and his company is still making new cards at this point in time, so I don’t think it’s a Kaiba thing.
Weren’t the sacred beasts meant to be locked away, because - like the God Cards - they were too powerful, and could destroy the earth, or something like that?
if you didnt discard the "1 dolar Ra" you will had the 3 continuous spells to summon it and win
Definitely in the minority on this but I always felt that Slifer was the only cool looking god card (Granted red is my favorite color). Ra just seems out of place (Bro is just a transformer) and Obelisk is just kinda goofy with his coolest attribute being that he was used by Kaiba.
And while there's definitely a case for the sacred beasts being over designed and edgy, I just like that they look like they even belong in the same archetype... Also I'm edgy and like the more intricate and fiendish designs. Really sells the aesthetic of these twisted manifestations of raw power.

I used to call the Sacred Beasts; "Egyptian God Ripoffs", thinking they were stupid. Now I love both, but still like Egyptian Gods over the "Ripoffs", just for nostalgia
I thought the sacred beasts were ok. They are supposed to be the dark/shadow versions of the Egyptian gods (hence the more undead look to them). Similar to the Wicked God's who are supposed to be the Egyption God's opposite. It's confusing if you ask me, but I like the sacred beasts more than the Wicked God's.

When I first saw the sacred best I thought they had sinergy with the God Cards.
I clutched cause some dude used the Dinotopia deck. While I used the super heavy samurai from the anime🤣. He did all the damage and I cleaned up. I laughed so hard because I thought I lost. But I'll admit out of the many players I've played. His was more fun than an annoyance and I enjoyed it. It was just alittle luck
I thought the sacred beasts were like the great value Egyptian god cards. When playing with them, however, it was much easier to pull them out.
They always just looked like dollar store God cards especially in the anime and how they basically did a run back of the story of them getting the God cards

Maybe instead of set vs set you guys could pull from 2 sets that way what decks u guys make have more options and u potentially allow stronger decks thru supports

When I found out Sacred Beasts were a thing I thought there was going to be a war between them and the original God cards. Considering how everyone who worked on the creation of the God cards died or disappeared I thought the same thing was going to happen to the creators of the Sacred Beasts and we’d get an arc called “Wrath of the Gods.”
