Diane Rehm Book Club: "Walk Through Fire" by Sheila Johnson

The April selection of the Diane Rehm Book Club is "Walk Through Fire,” a memoir by Sheila Johnson, CEO of Salamander Hotels and Resorts and co-owner of the Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics.
First rising to prominence as the co-founder of BET, the nation’s first Black female billionaire tells the story of breaking barriers, making history, and the cost of that success.
On April 24, 2024 Sheila Johnson joined Diane at WAMU's Black Box Theater for a special in-person edition of the Diane Rehm Book Club.

Diane Rhem Ms. Johnson was not speaking of all nurses, and that was clear. Ms. Johnson had every right to tell her story her way about the bed pan nurse/ gold digger. It was not for you to clarify her story! Ms. Johnson recieved her scholarship because of her excellent violin playing with the help of her mentor/ teacher.
