    i´m impressed by the spinning hook kicks , but for me in this martial art the guys doesnt move too much , they focus and kick straight to the head very accurated , i think a lot of KO wouldn´t not be , if the style would be more dinamic , and every time they are with guard down , like they left always the head free to receive kicks of any kind (i must say my english is very limitated sorry ;P) i am on TKD wtf , green belt , Greetings ; )

    anir mass I couldn't agree with you more. I was like why aren't these fighters blocking. Karate defense system seems careless. All form of combat the first thing they teach you is block, defending against attacks. Boxing that's the first thing you learn always keep your guard up.

      vinny sahay obviously you should always be cautious, especially when your older or coming back from a long period of inactivity. We should be mature and humble enough to recognize that martial arts and other contact sports are rough on our bodies and that we are not made of steal, we train to aim for that, but in martial arts there's also a mindful spiritual journey within the physical aspect. There's the philosophycal, the mystical and religious. As an old martial artist myself i have learnd to accept the changes in my body and the stiffness and the limitations of the age, having a wider space to enjoy the pleasures of an integrated spirit and mind, to teach and to share. We should all enjoy every aspect of martial arts in every stage of our lives.

      I think you should not give up training bc is not the same, i takes time to get back but at least trying to do it the best you can is going to developed a great spirit, a corageous one.

    GIVE UP? WHAT IS THAT?

  • @brottarnacke
    @brottarnacke 13 лет назад +2

    @Itapalas You're a WTF TKD guy and you blame people for not keeping their guard up LOL? That is pretty ironic. Olympic TKD fighters look like irish dancers with their arms hanging down their sides. Anyway, the reason they don't keep their guards up so much here is because it is not allowed to throw punches to the head, only to the body. Kicks to the head are allowed but not punches.
