Some of the diagrams helped, but I find myself rewinding dozens of times, asking myself "wtf was that?" Maybe a simple "x8 spruce slabs" or "x3 oak trap doors" on the screen would help immensely.

That's a mistake on my part, sorry. I didn't know at the time of recording that this feature only works in Minecraft Java Edition. If you play in Minecraft Bedrock Edition you just have to put a fence at the trapdoor and then attach the lantern to it.

(We have DID and in the inner world I have this gigantic tree house and this build looks 99% like it, I'm very happy I found this so that I can add it to my minecraft representation of the inner world)

Am I correct in assuming the chests in Floor 2 - Interior are non functional and merely cosmetic? Almost complete with Part 2 and overall, this is a GREAT build. Wish there were labels over the items in your inventory, as I think it may have made it a bit easier, but I enjoyed this.
I thought I was done after this part but turns out there’s also a part 3 now I’m slightly discouraged 😖.. but atleast there’s more time to spend on this great building :)
Sorry, that was a mistake on my part. I recorded the video in the Minecraft java version.... unfortunately it doesn't work in the Bedrock version, so you have to put e.g. a fence at the trapdoor and then the lantern at it 😊
If you're playing Minecraft Java Edition, press SHIFT to sneak (default setting) and while sneaking, you can place lanterns on trapdoors. If it's Minecraft Pocket/Bedrock Edition you're playing on the other hand, as for now it's impossible to do so. You can have alternatives, though (e.g., slabs, fences, walls).

I’m doing the same. As long as you have netheritr or diamond boots with feather falling and a water bucket on hand this hasn’t proven to be as much of a challenge as I would have thought. Make sure you got lots of dirt for scaffolding for the branches
Can someone appreciate this build from the survival mode, we will never use the scaffolding because there's already a ladder that will help us to go up and do the layers of the tree.😍😍😍

This only works in Minecraft Java Edition (I didn't know that at the time either, sorry). But you can just put the lantern on a block and not where I put it in the video.

It's a pretty simple build and he has put really good explanations, numbers of blocks and distances. If you can't do it that's a "you" problem.

hahaha😂 The first part is by far the worst and most difficult, because of the tree trunk and the branches. But the rest should go relatively quickly

I fixed the trapdoor problem by breaking the trapdoor and instead of putting slabs only where I needed to put lanterns.

In Survial mode it's really a challenge, but definitely possible. And so far most of them have liked it very much in the end 😂

At 3:58 it is a "Heavy Weighted Pressure Plate" made out of 2 Iron ingots and the sampling at 4:05 is a Jungle Wood Sapling
