I love your videos. I am new to insta360 editing. Question... can you use a VR headset to edit in free capture editing? If so, how does the VR head set connect? Thanks
Hi John, you can’t use a headset to edit but you can watch your 360 videos and photos in the headset by transferring them to the headset via your computer. You have to drag the final 360 videos into the photo/video/media folder. This works on the Quest 2 anyway. Thanks for the comment
Another excellent informative video. People are so creative with these new technologies. I bought a Insta360 ONE X2 a few days ago. Looking forward to trying out cool shots like this.
Looking forward to getting my one x 2 and practice. I thought of integrating real drone shots with fpv shots. I think car dealers in my city will be overwhelmed.
You gave me an idea with your very cool sound effect - record audio of your drone flying and marry it to the 360 video. I've also flown my drone with the 360 standing up on it's back- the two of them together are SpaceX level! Thank you for your video!
I use a Sennheiser mke600 which has an XLR connector so it depends what camera you use. I also use the Rode Wirekess Go which has a mini Jack connector. I haven’t ever connected direct into the computer it’s always into the camera.
Thank you for publishing this video. Can’t wait to try it. Btw have you come across a video to show how to use the feature in the onex2 that removes people from a 360 scene?
The ghost town effect - it’s done via ai and looks simple to do - there is a tutorial in the app. I haven’t tried it yet as our town is always a ghost town at the moment in lockdown 😂
Thank you for the video, and tutorials ! Can you show us how to do a rotation in the app?! I can do in studio but any chance we can do in the app too? Great explanation with transitions and i did some test in a house and its great! Just wondering how to rotate? Does it happen in editing or while you recording? Thanks heaps
Damn insta360 innovative beasts out here, scooped up the whole market. It's the consistent new mind boggling AI features releases and continuous user experience updates and fine tuning. Now they just need to Transfer this great user experience and Features on the Mobile App over to Desktop Studio Software. Where we have loads more power to Process and Render with all the AI assisted features.
@@EatSleep360 Also the Mobile is such great ease of use and first go to method for most users. Updates and Features will hit mobile app first as it's used way more especially for quick Social Media posts. So i can see why they are developing more for Mobile only. Would be great to have the features on Desktop for longer Video workflows and quicker + Higher quality renders. As the App needs to be kept in the foreground until all rendering etc. is done so lots of Mobile Phone downtime in between.
Thanks for this video, it was really helpful. Is there a way to change the direction the camera “swings” during a transition? For example when passing through the cabin of a vehicle, I want it to swing forward instead of backward towards the passengers.
I don’t think you can change it as it exports as a completed clip from what I remember so you can’t switch the keyframes - you could do a manual edit but it would take a while

At the end of the video I show you how insta360 did the car window shot by passing it from one person to another - there isn't another video - everything you need is in this one 👍
Did you ever get the beep when you use the transition effect come up on the final video? I tried it at the weekend and a couple of times the beep is audible but bizarrely not every time

I can't figure out if it is possible to download the final fly through as a full resolution log file? I can only find an option to export this as a 1080p video. That can't be right surely?
I think you are restricted to 1080 as it’s reframed - if you import into stories you might have a higher res export option. But no definitely not able to export as a full res log file.

I’m sure it will come to the one r it’s just a matter of time. It’s better for some - I prefer it because it’s more compact and simpler. The one r is more versatile and more robust.

Does it force the 180 degree perspective turn in the transition, or can you tweak it so that the perspective just carries on looking in the direction that you were originally moving/looking in?
No problem it’s a good question and it would be great if there was some way to do this maybe by holding it sideways or something so you couldn’t be seen.
