    The Swampy Cree People (autonyms: Néhinaw, Maskiki, WiIniwak.., Mushkekowuk, Maškékowak, or, Maskekon are often known as Muskegon and Muskegoes. Exonyms include: West Main Cree, Lowland Cree, and Homeguard Cree.
    These people are a division of the Cree Nation, occupying lands located in northern Manitoba, along the Saskatchewan River, in northeastern Saskatchewan, along the shores of Hudson Bay and adjoining interior lands south and west, as well territories along the shores of Hudson and James Bay, in Ontario.

    “God’s Lake First Nation” is a First Nations band government whose reserve is primarily located at an area known as God’s Lake Narrows, .about 250 kilometres southeast of Thompson, Manitoba. There are about 2,638 registered members of God’s Lake First Nation (Reserve # 296).
    They are Swampy Cree People and more specifically,
    they are “Rocky Cree”, ..Asinīskāwiyiniwak.
