Here's a fun fact: if you make a strong enough bridge, there's an easter egg where whatever is oncoming has a unique interaction. The stunt plane crashes into it and explodes (still blows up the bridge though), the boats sink and don't break your bridge, and the fighter jet shoots the bridge with a missile.

Here's a quick tip for you Cap - muscle supports. When your only issue with a bridge is a single piece of metal (or wood) breaking, just replace that one segment with two fairly skinny triangles. (visually, this would like it going from -- to ) This is a significantly stronger segment, and is really easy to add into an almost working bridge for a quick fix. It probably would have worked for that last level, for when you first got the swapping spring direction working, when the only thing that broke was a single piece of metal.

hey sauce what you could have done for the lats level is stuck with the design that worked and on the piece that broke just turn it into a steel muscle. more expensive but stronger

@CaptainSauce, you can make the Bridge endure the impact by using the springs to absorb it.
By holding the bottom right ramp with springs instead of steel in 18:58 the ramp would steel feel the impact but it would give in a bit and therefore increase the time it takes to decelerate the ramp downwards.
The commitment it takes to return to this game again and again with no regard for his sanity is astounding.
If your bridge has to get nut-to-butt with an actively flying plane in any instance, then it's not a bridge. It's a landing strip that cars can pass through
