I love the way it started off as interesting and serious but then it suddenly became funny in the middle when Zoro came, and even when Kokushibo’s eyes were moving in a weird way.

He actually does when Kokushibo is in Base, he should be able to land at least a hit since Marked Gyomei was also able to scratch him, but Kokushibo in Base still will defeat him since he will go full out in his Base. The only one who could push Kokushibo to use Long Sword in 1v1 is Douma. You understimate Akaza's BDA, I recommend checking how it works on Wiki.
