Trees vs Tumbleweed: Tumbleweed is rootless. Trees have roots near river. Tumbleweed has no home. Trees are planted. Tumbleweed is dry. Trees don’t die in hot summer. Tumbleweed is aimless. Trees provide shade. Tumbleweed is ruthless and irritating. Trees bear fruit.
1. New nature makes it natural to long after God (Ez.11:19; 36:26-27; Jer.31:31-34)
People don’t thirst after God for two reasons:
- not born again
- not renewed in their mind
Identity precedes intimacy. If are you not hungry after God, you forgot who you are.
2. New nature needs nurture. (Ps.1:1)
Devotion to Jesus precedes devotions with Jesus.
Walk. Stand. Sit (Ps.1:1)
3. New nature needs nourishment. (Ps.1:2)
If you’re not hungry - you are not healthy. The way to get your hunger back is to view the Scriptures as food, not source of new information. Jesus works on me through his word (John 15:3; Eph.5:26; Ps.119:9, 11)
You’re not serving God when you’re reading Bible, Jesus is washing you.

Thank you Ptr Vlad.
I know now what it really means why our Lord Christ Jesus washed the feets of "His disciples".
For so long, being a pastor's kid, a volunteer, my life was like a tumbleweed, I always find someone, some church to feed me with deeper things of God but as you always say, "it's in the secret place" not only in Sunday but in everyday, from Monday to Sunday. Lately, my prayer life and meditation life is not good. Please do pray for me and for others also that going through like me, I know we are many like this.
I don't want to continue my life just to survive. I would like my life to continue in serving God, following the orders of my King Jesus Christ and always remembering my Savior.
Praise God.. My appetite for the Word is increasing... Has been for the last one month. I'm so excited to read the Bible... It truly is meat for the Soul!

I've been isolated from God for a while now because I don't want to live as a hypocrite but in isolation I felt so empty, like a cub left in the wilderness without its mother to protect them.
I have recently, slowly, started warming up to God and during this time so many people have opened their hearts to me, like I could help them with their healing. I know it'll take more work and faith and discipline to gain favor from the lord once more but what I know is that I'm empty without Jesus.🕯️❤️
