ভুল বিশ্লেষণ। ট্রান্সপোর্ট কস্ট, ইনস্যুরেন্স প্রিমিয়াম, C&F চার্জ, স্টক হোল্ডিং কস্ট, LC কস্ট এগুলো যে দেশ থেকেই আমদানি করবে সেখানেই লাগবে। এমনকি স্থানীয় স্পিনিং মিল থেকে নিলেও লাগবে, হয়তো কম লাগবে, কিন্তু লাগবে, C&F কস্ট আর LC কস্ট বাদে বাকিগুলি লাগবেই। আর স্থানীয় বিক্রেতাও যদি LC তে পেমেন্ট নেয়, সেটাও লাগবে। কিন্তু বাংলাদেশে তুলো উৎপাদন চাহিদার তুলনায় অনেক কম, ফলে দেশের স্পিনিং মিল থেকে পুরোটা পাওয়া যাবে না, বিদেশ থেকে আনতেই হবে।
ইমপোর্টাররা বোকা নয়, সবকিছু হিসাব করে যেখানে সঠিক কোয়ালিটি কম দামে পায় সেখান থেকে কেনে। যারা ব্যবসা করে খায় তারা জানে কখন কোথায় কি করতে হবে। এই বিশ্লেষকের বাস্তব business environment সম্পর্কে কোনো জ্ঞান নেই, কাগজে আজগুবি হিসাব বানিয়ে বসে বসে ভুলভাল বোঝাচ্ছে। এর ভরসায় কেউ থাকলে তার ব্যবসা লাটে উঠতে বেশি সময় লাগবে না।
বাংলাদেশ ভারতের থেকে সুতো আমদানি বন্ধ করলে ভারত বাংলাদেশে তুলো রফতানি বন্ধ করে দেবে।

আপনারা অন্য দেশ থেকে তুলো আমদানি করে নিন। সেক্ষেত্রে ভারতের থেকে সুতো কেনার চাপটাও থাকবে না। ভারত শুধু তুলো আপনাদের দেবে না।
সাধারণ ব্যবসা বাণিজ্য কে বেশি দেশপ্রেম দিয়ে দেখলে হবে না। কোয়ালিটি ম্যাটার করে। আমরা ভারত o বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে আমদানি করি। প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা ভারত বাংলাদেশ নয় এটা আসলে আন্তর্জাতিক দাম এবং প্রতিযোগিতার উপর নির্ভর করে। অনেক ভারতীয় কোম্পানি চিন থেকে মাল এনে কারণ ওই মাল ভারতীয় ফ্যাক্টরি বেশি দাম চায়।

Anti-dumping duty should be imposed against imported cotton yarn from India
Not to mention, India has been imposing Anti-dumping duty on jute products being exported from Bangladesh for more than a decade
Recently I had a talk with an Indian cotton supplier. I asked if there were price benifits buying indian cotton. He replied no as prices r almost same in the international market. However, when in urgent need (bangladeshi garment owners) it is best to buy from India as it can reach BD with in a shorest time compared to any other place.

It may not be like that what you said. The main reason behind it ,the quality of international garments is so high,the international level of yarn quality for finer yarn is so high ,your country may not be in a position to do it.
This is purely due to high R and D requirement for high quality yarn which is missing in our country. The day you will have that kind of knowledge of manufacturing you will able to do it. But try to make your Textile technocrats and institute at the level of international standards. Otherwise what you said is all poor knowledge and high sounding words.
