That’s definitely possible during that time in real estate because from 2019 to 2022 it was like a gold rush in real estate. People were making money hand over fist. But the key is to not get sold on empty promises or guarantees. That’s the thing, if someone’s guaranteeing something that isn’t guaranteeable. That’s the red flag.

DJ Envy is going to get a really good attorney and weasel out of this by claiming ignorance yet he claimed to be a guru or a sidekick to a so called guru when they were pitching for investments. So Envy is going to act like he knows things when it's time to collect money but they act like he doesn't know anything when it's time to face the consequences for his actions and his acceptance of investments and his promoting of a scammer.
A civil suit would be good against both of these clowns. I wonder if there is any victim impact funds or federal victim programs for any of this kind of stuff?

Watch the video in its entirety. Cesar Pina was damn near guaranteeing returns example 50k. If the investors tried to flip the property themself they would have to open themself up to the risk of it not selling or even it selling for less than they purchased it for. Therefore they decided they would go with the easier route of partnering w someone that could guarantee them money
@@valentinxzAnd you know that how? Most people who start out investing tend to look towards investors with experience. Also people can have other priorities in life where they may not be able to dedicate 70+ hours a week towards investing in real estate.
People hate doing paperwork so they think its easier to just hand the money over and let someone else do it!

It’s crazy how people want to do business with felons and people who admittedly poisoned their own community. As soon as I hear that I’ll hold on to my hard earned money.
True, it’s insane. But I guess that tells a lot of the community. Not very bright ones in there and will be in endless cycle, if they can’t understand that they’re being used.
It’s all about the fairy tale ending BS. Since black Americans are so used to being in and out of prison, when someone who’ve lived that life does something positive we gravitate towards it. Not realizing that those individuals are still for the most part conducting crime. We don’t verify credentials of legality, but we’ll respect the past crimes of those ppl instead. It’s warped as hell

His end game is go to prison and come out a multimillionaire. All the people filing lawsuits are going to get penny's on the dollar back.
He is a classic example of stereotypes and the reason employers and our communities don't want to give convicted felons a second chance. As a convicted felon myself, I have jumped through hoops to gain trust and get a decent job. A lot of criminals don't realize it isn't just the crime that sheds a bad light on them. It's the dishonesty, manipulation, lack of remorse for most, lack of accountability and responsibility for their actions, the effect on the community and people as a whole.
Stop it Ma'am 've done 21 years ...You can't place his problems on everyone else's situation....Just do right...Stay clean and stay out the way....And get money...if you have any certifications or skills put them to use and work!...You're the problem if they're complaining!

@@lildoseoflalaIt was the fact that DJ Envy heavily promoted and vouched for Cesar…go attend this seminar, go pay a bunch of $$$ for 10 minute meetings, go invest with him, etc. Nobody would’ve known about Cesar if it wasn’t for Envy
Send them both to jail. Dj Envy used his platform to promote the scam. Lock them up!!
Only thing I took from this is, going to jail gives you more financial education than going to school does 😂.
I remember Envy telling a story about his earlier days when he first realized he was a good salesman. He bragged about bullshitting his way through sales pitches. That didn't sit right with me.
Envy is not a good person.
He’s a DJ who acts like he’s a don.
All he does is plays other people’s hits.
Like a film critic who never made shid but just talks about others creative achievements.
How can these people with this much capital really believe in guaranteed 30% within 5 months.
could have easily been true given the time in the market and the size of some of the projects
@@stefaniecuadra2582 guaranteed returns in a certain time frame is always a red flag
Unbelievable to me that not only did The Breakfast Club promote him as someone that chose crime over going to college but they thought the phrase "looks like us & listens to the same music" was seen as a valid endorsement for his financial credibility.
50 y/o dudes glamorising criminality is depressing as sh*t.
As a prison nurse, I share the same sentiments.
I get what Envy was trying to do when he said that Caesar "looks like us, dresses like us and listens to the same music, " but, that wouldn't be enough to get me to hand over thousands of dollars to a complete stranger.
@@IceHarvest929 It reads like Envy is insinuating that someone's tastes/hobbies make them trustworthy despite them openly confessing that they are basically a street dude. That feels like the opposite of an actual endorsement but he clearly thought these points would help sell the project which is really weird.
The people they scammed "look like them"?
Black lives matter, scammed millions. Didn't help any poor black people , bought mansions and cars
These so-called investors could have invested directly in real estate themselves, rather than going through Caesar et al.
That’s what I’m the most confused about..
Same here. Why didn’t they just buy up a few homes and flip them. I know someone that just flipped a house in 2 weeks but he paid all in cash. His own money and got some good Mexicans to do the renovation. That’s what these guys should’ve done.
it sounded too good to them, like meat in front of a lion

Or at least at the D.A.s office for reference.
Great work 🤓✔️
Cesar's spending is like his appetite... out of control and greedy AF!
I've attended Robert Kyosaki branded events that operate the upsell in a similar fashion. When they asked us to lay out our net worth, including 401k/retirement funds, I hit the door. The whole operation was quite slick. The look in eyes of the attendees is something I won't forget. It was almost like they were under a spell.
these operations are incredibly well run to serve one purpose: SELLING. The guys running seminars have fine tuned the event to funnel everyone into giving them money. Every single variable is considered to making sure the event operates as smoothly as possible to separate attendees from their money.
You betta say it!! They were indeed under a spell..ambition, desperation and ignorance is like a pheromone to these predators..they salivate at their coming waiting to pounce
I remember years ago me and my dad attended a Trump branded event and it spelled scam all over.
Yep I went to one of Robert’s three day seminars 12 years ago, I mistakenly bought a $6K course, I remember people paying over $50K, $75K and well over $100K!!!!!! Folks were maxing out credit cards, and tapping into savings, retirement funds etc 😤
I learned my lesson and vowed NEVER to do that again. All the information they shared was online for free on Facebook, too many evil con artist, it’s crazy how they PREY on people’s genuine needs to make more money and provide for their families!!!

Hopefully the Breakfast Club itself gets sued for pushing this scam. Nasty people. Nasty show.
Agree. Not sure why none of the victims have sued the show yet...they're just as culpable since envy introduced pena to the world on there
I would say that the blame lies on Envy not the entire Breakfast Club. None of the other people were involved as far as I know.
@@TheMariemarie16 BC provided the platform and has a history of putting on scammers. A good lawyer should definitely go after BC. How can they be sued for promoting someone that they didn't know was fraudulent, Charlemagne isn't even a part of their business.
In my 56 years on this earth I have found that in most cases, if you judge a book by it's cover (talking people, not books) you will be spot on most of the time. As a Northern New Jersey native I must say that it made me chuckle hearing you pronounce some of these place names. Cesar is incompetent and Envy is guilty for promoting him. As for the victims, they should have never believed that they could get a 30% return in under 6 months for any investment. If Cesar could have guaranteed those returns then he wouldn't need or want private investors.
EXACTLY! why would he need them if he had such an alleged established portfolio? And why wouldn't he get hard money loans at 10percent instead? He never intended to give those victims any money back
The Totowa and Passaic pronunciations did make me chuckle, they are Native American names so I know they aren’t the easiest to say.
Great response
EXACTLY 💯 in 5 months 30% return that is unheard of!! He wouldn't need investors if he could make that kind of profit on each deal.
Nailed it! Guaranteeing 30% return in 6 months is straight streets mentality. Anybody with half a brain should've known that.

Then the government would be in jail because they the biggest scammers
They would never. They make a living off scamming Americans.
The government is a scam itself
It's called capitalism. This is the ugly and criminal display of how we are all preyed on in this type of society. Greed is the basis of capitalism and money is worshipped. This will always lead to these types of situations until we change our values.

Seriously, people didn't even do title searches to see who legally owned the property or put boots on the ground to check the development site? Wow, wow wow
Damn youre not lying.
Yup. Most of the time scammers take advantage of the victims greed.
A fool and his money are soon parted...
Somebody said that...
She was a smart woman.
Well, your mom was wrong. Most ppl who are scammed are largely old and vulnerable ppl. It's usually the ppl who will ignore red flags because they're desperate. Now, these particular ppl (outside of the dv victim) likely fell for this because they blindly trusted this guy because of his connections and charisma. Plus, this isn't out of the normal for investors, a lot of them put their money in things and wait for profit, they just so happen to trust the wrong guy. So let's not victim blame, the ppl at fault here are the scammers.
This is madness . I can't fathom how he could not be guilty and I'd be surprised if DJ Envy doesn't do time either.
