Great, really comprehensive analysis! You have been doing a great job at GameXplain and as a long time Nintendo fan, I watch and favorite all your videos! I can`t wait to watch even more coverage throughout this important week for Wii U!
Good stuff man. I love how you squeeze every bit of information you can out of a few screenshots. I've said before that I probably won't get the Wii U, but I'm sure a lot of great games will come out will eventually change my mind.
A sequel to Mario World is awesome, I loved the open feel to worlds and the movable yoshis!

This game is the face of the Wii U, and damn it looks good.
I'm getting a Wii U because of it, we haven't had a Super Mario Bros title at a console launch since the SNES! No questions asked, getting a Wii U at launch day because of it.
same here dude. soon as i seen this video i got super hapyed for this game. now im big times hapyed for this game. i like the new stuff to. i just hope this game launchs with Wii U. i think it will.
I don't think this game looks as good as the other 3 games, but I'll still play it anyway because it looks fun!

wow omg omg omg now u got me real hayped for this game now. thanks for showing us. and thats so dam cool it has the boss from super mario bros 3 in the mid level fortres. and new super mario bros 2 on 3DS has a boss from super mario world in the mid fortress.

Hearing that this is shaping up to be a mario world sequel has sold me.
I can see a difference between the first level, where there's the pond it's a bridge.
This is probably going to be one of the greatest Mario games in its history considering many nostalgic themes being displayed so far with this game :) Looks like its finally time to save up for a Wii U
man, mario is like, the street fighter of platformers. not only did it innovate the genre, but it aged quite well and still manages to be the best. mario rules.
Thank you so much for your NSMBU videos and your PMSS videos. They have gotten me much more excited about the games and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that way.
SO excited for this game. :D Something you might've forgot to mention is that Player 1 won't have to play as Mario it's heard. You can play as Luigi, the Toads, or a Mii.
also, every world in SMW and in NSMBU, the worlds are named after food and beverages

I think that the Miis are probably there because Boost Rush is no doubt an online mode. There are only two screenshots they are in, and in both, Boost Rush is activated. So they probably are there to show previous players of the level.

This is definitely shaping up to be a day one purchase the moment the game is out. I wonder if there will be more throwbacks to SMW such as Star Road and Special World. Certainly doesn't seem too long now.

notice at 4:09 coins are next to mario. this might conform that blocks in boost rush give mario a certain number of coins.

i wonder if they will keep the coin counter idea from NSMB 2, its kind of cool seeing how many coins you collected though out the entire game

I strongly believe that NSMBU will be something like a "New Super Mario World". Also, at the map, look at the environment. In my opinion, it looks a LOT like Dinosaur Land.
I'm sure that if they changed the story of the main games such as this, everyone would hate. Mario is supposed to have the story of "omg Peach was kidnapped by Bowser, Mario and Luigi must rescue him", it's like their "trademark". Some other franchises changed the story of the games too much, and, although sometimes they were good, they mostly didn't feel like the story a game from said franchise would have.
Hey gamexplain, in the pics with the gold/yellow baby yoshi, it shows mario spin jumping creating a flash that seems to stun the hammer bro. Maybe the baby yoshis have other abilities as well?

Since nsmbu has a large relation to smw could this mean star road is back? There was a star based level at E3. Maybe each level in the new star road could have a relation to different worlds or regions on the world map?

Andre, You said Torpedo Ted only show up in 1 level in SMW. they don't. they are in a water level somewhere early in the game and then in the uderwater ghost ship :)
the meater on the boost rush is how fast the screen goes when you die the meater goes down and the speed

Did you pay attention to the world in the background from the miiverse posts? Acorn plains looks diffrent then its final version!

And I don't see why you wouldn't want him to be in it.
If they add him like in NSMBW, as an extra boss outside of the fortress and castle bosses, he wouldn't replace anyone.
There isn't really any other way to add him, anyway, as we pretty much already know all fortresses will have Boom-Boom as a boss, and the castles will have the Koopalings + Bowser.
His boss battles in NSMBW were quite good, too.
I heard there's new music coming, which is good considering NSMB2 Rehashed saved for some and Reznor.
I think a long time ago I saw a screenshot of Mario, Luigi, and, Miis doing the little dance at the end of the level... So I think that means you can play as Miis?

gamexplain something i saw in the info is that all koopa lings come and that there is a secret boss so i think its bowser jr couse dry bowser is used already
I think that the meter that is in boost rush shows how fast it is going.
I can't wait for the Super Mario World sequel that never happened! It was my first game, so nostalgia will be kicked into full gear... ;'')
Wow this looks like a much bigger and better game than NSMB2, even though that was awesome too! I also hope that there will be DLC packs with levels, characters and power ups! :D

This game looks SUPER polished! But this is only the showing of what Nintendo can do with HD...when that 3D Mario comes along...GET READY
I'll bet there's a secret Star World like in SMW, where you can find Red, Yellow, and *sigh* light blue yoshies with special abilities. It's the only reason I can think of that they'd restrict you to only green yoshies in the normal levels.
GX at 2:58 are those enemies the goomba's from SM world or a new enemy?
Gamexplain, did you notice the boos with their toungh out in 3:18?
The beanstalk is in the water world only accessed by a secret exit in the ghost ship in that world
Is it coniformed That Power ups from previous games come back (instead the Super mario bros and the new super mario bros wii)?
I heard about some icing desert level complete with melting frosting and a forest of illusion level ...

If there is a wizard of oz tornado world, then why isn't there a Jack and the beanstalk world as well? That is probably where the beanstalk leads, and what the leftover world is.
Something you missed in this video was the upgrade to the HUD.
Could the meters possibly be like the hunger meter from Super Mario Sunshine?

well there was a unrelesased game called marios wacky worlds and that was the alt name for hotel mario and that was intenned to be the sequel.

NSMW, there's a part called soda lake. in NSMBU, soda jungle. SODA is in both.
I really hope sometime soon you can play AS Yoshi, not ride him. And also Daisy, and another like Waluigi or something around those lines. To add some actual DEPTH to these simple levels. Because how awesome would a short 3 player mode of Mario which actually utilizes it's characters better. Because though I may get this one, but mostly because I haven't gotten a "New" Mario, it would still be cool to see how it would work.

Well, for starters, there has to be different villains besides Bowser. In fact, I've made thirty new villains of my own for the Mario series!
