Just traded in my 2015 S550 for the 2023 S580. Black on Black. Purchased, not leased, but I plan to upgrade in a few years to keep avoiding being out of warranty. This is my favorite car ever…. FWIW: MY first Mercedes was a 450 SEL back in the 80s, then an E Class in the 90s…. Went to BMW in my convertible phase…. Now back into S class for past 8 years. Love the technology. Cheers

Right only the bottom part of the wood steering wheel heats up because the bottom part is not wood.

I bought a new 2023 S500 this past September with the AMG package with the better looking body style and the black rims. Got the extended warranty to take it to 7 years or 100,000 miles.
I told them manager there this was my second car I will still drive my Honda too so therefore I will get the full 7 years before the 100,000 miles occurs.
I couldn’t care less about depreciation because I plan to keep it for at least 12-15 years. Further, a wife depreciates BIG time too over the years.
I chose the car.
It's a beautiful ride. The tech is great!

I picked up my 2016 S550 two days ago. 54k miles for $35,800 in Dallas. Perfect carfax. No issues. I drove 200 miles to get it and I drove it 200 miles home. What a dream drive that was. It looks great in my garage next to my Range Rover Sport and my daughters BMW 740i. The Benz is far superior to the BMW.

The previous class was 206.5 inches long and the new is 208.2 so not 8 inches longer but it is a little longer lol

Just to drive. It's 2000.00. Well I'd live the incognito lifestyle and have and older model S class. Plus I love to travel so at 65 years old. I would be in Germany visiting the car
manufactures and the museums of BMW and Porsche. You hit the nail on the head when you said depreciation. That would give me more countries to visit in Germany. One of my relatives is a train operator and I've been to Austria. I now drive a 2010 E-350 and it stills drives well from A to B with 63000 miles. 13 years later. So imagine keeping up with the Kardasheians .I'll stay in my lane and keep my ego intact. The chase for first place is not for me. Don't forget insurance and gas. In five years you'd still attempt to trade-in and your payment would be 2400.00 a month. Only change a new model. Imagine if it was like wives every 5 to 7 years? Wow

Thanks! I’m actually working on acquiring my first old school, a ‘79 caprice classic and gutting it out completely (including a brand new big block). Should be a 7-10 month process and cost north of 60 grand but it’ll be worth it since it’ll be in my image and have it for the rest of my life

A beauty!! Two questions, do you have interior rattles? What about the dashboard vent, does it reflect off the windshield?
My interior doesn’t rattle but yes! I did notice the glare from the dashboard vent.
Overall it doesn’t bother me too much. I got use to it with my G wagon. Everything was reflecting like crazy in that car.
Love the Mercedes s580 but a maybach 2 tone is the better once you get a w12 Bentley flying spur you won’t want another Mercedes sedan again ❤
