What a wonderful presentation. My brother died 5 weeks ago, and this was so helpful to me......siblings are definitely not included in the considered list of mourners.

Praying for you also Terry...It seems so hard when it's a brother (and I would imagine sister as well) There's a sort of bond with them..

I feel isolated since losing my sister everyone is taking my mum out and doing things with her which is good but I feel excluded.

I come from a family of 9 children. Our pa
rents died young. Mom was 48 and Dad passed at 54. I am the oldest and my brother is the secoond oldest of the 9. He passed this April. at 60 yeas old. I'm 67 .I can't get over his death. It hit me harder than any death including one of my other brothers that passed a year after my Dad at 25. He and I had a special bond. We were the 2 oldest. It's been 5 months and I have cried every day over him. It was unexpected in a way. He had a bad knee and gained weight. He couldn't get an operation (this dr. said) unlesshe loses weight. This he was told for years. He'd lose 8 lbs. and the dr. said he'd need to lose more. His knee kept getting worse . He stated to even limp. I suggested getting those injections that would create a foam replicating the cartilige he was missing that would at least hold up for 5-9 years. But I thought at least if he wasn't in pain and this bone banging on bone it could only help and he'd be more apt to lose some weight. How canyou lose weight when you can't walk on this leg? Well, the dr. told him It's not a cure. I knew that! That wasn't the point! All this runs through my head all the time ..after I got his medical records that he kept himself we found out he developed Diabetes. He never told us. I blame the inactivity for this. Everyday I'm either angry because he didn't tell me all he was going through..or sad because he was my brother here for 60 years. I watched him grow up. He did so much in his life. He got a wrestling scholarship to college which is hard to get here. He was high honor student all through high school. He became a spervisor at W & O Supply A big shipyard . Bought his own home and car. Was planning his retirement. He was religious. Went to church every Suday. Donated to many causes. And he won't get to enjoy 1 day of retirement. Then I get angry at God as I'm 7 years older..Why didn't he take me first before him..On and on...I go through remembering funny times together throughout our lives and can't stop crying . Five months later It hasn't changed..I can't help it either..Thanks for listening...Sorry for the long post.

Praying 4 you. My brother died October 22 2021 . It's a bad dream I can't seem to wake up from. He was the oldest. I always saw us dealing with my parents death together and now he's gone ahead of even them. I miss him so much. Life now feels a little lonely and much more unpredictable.

@@kellyjlove8567 I can fully know wht your going through..This will be the first Thanksgiving without mine. It's WAY too Much for me.He was the one that got so excited over the holidays . He'd be asking me what we're having and would drive 4 hrs. for all the holidays to be here. This has to be the worst year of my life. With Danny passing unexpected, The situation with the politicians, and I'm real sorry to say it..This Pope! First one in my life that I don't trust AT ALL! I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone and as you said that I'll wake up and it will just be a bad nightmare. I am not taking this well at all. . I'll be thinking of you throughout this painful season. You wonder why ....Makes no sense. Then there's all these evil, terrible people living into their 80's and still going..
