Ya mannn.. I agree, workflow is really subjective. How I move is not how others move but I like my workflow. I’m always open to new info though like a lot of us. The X is another tool in my toolbox, it’s not my centerpiece (at times it is!!) thanks for sharing
Method 1 is definitely my preferred option. It really makes me wish they had added an ADAT port though like the MPC 5000 and 4000 with optional card. Nearly all modern soundcards have an ADAT port and mine is sat going to waste.
The problem that I have is when I’m logic it’s not recognizing 16 Multi outputs. It s shows mono and stereo but not multi channel. Please help me I was so I embarrassed that this happen In front of my client
Great video. I have an external hard drive with lots of samples. QUESTION, if I connect my external hard drive to the MPCX via usb, would the MPCX recognize it in stand alone mode? Would I be able to use the samples? Thanks in advance!.
Can you please make a video explain in detail how to do the first scenario where to talk about hooking up the 8 outs and letting the DAW sync to the Mpc X hardware... Please
I programmed a song in MPC X STANDALONE and used my Roland integrated sound module. HOW CAN I SLAVE THE MPC X TO MY MAC AND LET PROTOOLS COMMUNICATE MMC OR BEAT CLOCK AS MY MASTER, SO I CAN TRACK THE ROLAND SOUNDS TO TRACKS IN PROTOOLS? THANK YOU FROM EPITOME RECORDINGS..
Im completely dawless but my x sometimes for fun at mates studios found its very fl and ableton friendly.while in logic studio 1 reason and a bit on cubase (is 50/50 with it) is much harder to make it behave along
The issue that i'm having is. When I'm going into Logic pro and using the MPC X as an instrument. It's only letting me pick Mono or Stereo. It's not giving me the option to select multi track
Nice Video Bro. Is it possible to make MPCX Your Master While Syncing into Protools. I don’t won’t protools to be the Master. I want my MPCX To Control over protools.
Yes it is, It's been a long time since I done it, basically you have to midi in and out from the X to protocols and go into the settings In the X and change the peripherals from receiving and sending. If I find the link I'll post it here.
But thats what I thought. I have to take it back a little old school. Only I think is because I’m just a little extra LOL. Because I wanna be able to write and arrange inside of the MPCX And Because I am a Drummer And I’m using The Roland TD-50 E Kit. I don’t wanna touch that computer nor protools. I’ve been at this for about at least a good 4hr or more trying to figure out which best option is for me and how to preform on the Fly With using all of this together. I just gotta find my way.
Yeah or you can make all the beats in mpc x and put it in the MPC beat software made the beat already and then open it up in another dawr and just track it out of the MPC beat software instead of actually using the mpc software to make beat inside other door I already have it saved and open up the song and just track everything out into your other daw
Hey man, when I open the mpcx on an instrument track it opens the mpc software in a separate window but the window is HUGE and maxed out and I am not able to see the edges of the actual mpc software. Its like the mpc software is bigger then the window and i cant get to the top bar, or the 2 left side track views or the browser window section on the right side of the mpc software. Is there something I need to change in my DAW (protools 11) , maybe some sort of view setting ? need help been weeks with this issue. Please and Thank you!
What if i just want to save song on the cpu. After im done with everything just to use cpu to save song or just as a transfer to i tunes. Google an. U tube can i do that an how
I want to use my MPCX as a sound module. I want to record the midi output direct into my daw(logic). I seem to be able to trigger the mpx sounds from my keyboard (which enables me to record the midi into logic and play it back to the mpx) but I cannot get it to record the midi from the max direct.
Midi out from your DAW/ audio interface (set up) to MIDI IN to the MPC X, (via a 5 Din midi cable***) Then Audio out from the MPC X to your audio interface/mixer. Set your keyboard to trigger via your (DAW/pc or mac). All the midi events are printed in your DAW to then trigger out to the MPC X, treating it like and external synth. You keyboard and DAW will then become the master controls. I know you asked 12 months ago,so hopefully you sorted it out. Just thought I'd add this to help anyone else.😎👊🏾
@@sixahem Thanks for getting back, much appreciated. Me & my MPC parted company last year as I just couldn't live with its limitations in this area. I wanted to record the data direct into Logic & play it back without using the Akai software. This was not possible so I sold it. Great videos btw.
The video wasn’t clear. The explode track is for splitting a track. For instance when you are building the sequence you may have all your drums on one track. Hats, kick, sub, snare, clap, yeah, fart noises etc.... pressing explode on that drum track with separate them to different tracks for you.
I never had this problem, but you can open up studio one and in the preference there should be a tab to rescan plugins, if that doesn't work try reinstalling the mpc software. Hope that helps.

Thank you! And yes it would work in stand alone the Mpc X has two usb connections and you can install a separate Hd underneath. I hope that helps.
Soundz Contagious thank you so much. I appreciate that!. liked and subbed.
Can you please make a video explain in detail how to do the first scenario where to talk about hooking up the 8 outs and letting the DAW sync to the Mpc X hardware... Please
MAN, YES! NOBODY on YT has touched this topic on the Live or the X.

@@XSavior Please show how to do this
Thanks for these awesome videos! Question: can you download a VST (other than Akai produced) into the MPC X? +1 & Bell
You can use any Vst besides Akai Vst
Very helpful
So there is no audio over usb on this device? Thank you for your time
I believe usb is for controller mode only no audio over usb , not unless something has changed 😁Hope that helps!

MPC midi implementation is not good. very poor midi clock syncing. no multitimbral midi input. whack.

@@melee3806 sounds like you would of had to export the midi events from the MPC X.
😎🙏🏾.
Knowledge!!!
so if I create a song in the mpc x and upload into my Daw... it will be one... track correct? and I wont be able to fine tune separate tracks?
Explode the tracks out first then bring them to your Daw for fine tuning.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SET UP THE MPC LIVE OR X TO WORK WITH FL STUDIO LIKE WHEN YOU PUT YOUR MPC IN CONTROLER MODE
Literally impossible to figure out. I have been just using the mpc daw because I dont know what else to do.
