The Rock, Bad Boys, Die Hard With a Vengeance, The Negotiator, Terminator 2, Kiss The Girls, Under Siege, Crimson Tide, Metro, True Lies, Eraser, and Speed are some of the truly great action films of the 90s! What a decade for film and television. Nothing like it since imo.
Thanks for the suggestions. Haven't seen some of them. I've been watching these older gems for a while now cause there's nothing good they make these days.
I saw it first time when I was a kid and watched it again a few weeks ago. The 90’s were the best for action films . This one , terminator 2, the last Of the boy Scouts and die hard with a vengeance are all classics as far as I’m concerned
You wanna know some curious facts for this film: ° Tony Scott, the man who directed "Top Gun" and "Days of Thunder" was considered for this project. ° Arnold Schwarzenegger was considered for the role of Mason, before Sean Connery got involved. ° The film was nominated by the Academy Awards in the category of Best Sound Mixing, but it was defeated by "The English Patient"
“From Don Simpson and Jerry Bruckheimer, the producers of “Top Gun” and “Crimson Tide” and Michael Bay, the director of “Bad Boys”. Sean Connery. Nicolas Cage. Ed Harris. This summer, get ready to rock.”
I honestly believe that Ed Harris is a very underrated actor. He has never given a poor performance and he can play in any type of movie from comedy, to drama, tear jerkers, and action. My favourite of his was Paris Trout which also starred Dennis Hopper which a lot of people over looked but I'd highly recommend it.
@@TheHappys negative, its because ppl need constant BS action or comedy between scenes, that is why they don't make gangster movies like they used to. ppl have too short of an attention span
I’m not lying when I say I helped create a cult amongst my friends built around the magnitude of badassery that is this film. I still own the cd of the soundtrack.
It sounds like Hans Zimmer’s first attempt at what would be the iconic music to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I know Klaus is credited as composer for the first, but Hans Zimmer was the sound producer for that movie. And Hans was composer for Pirates 2-5.
You have created a cult based in a belief not the badassery of the film. Cults were originally created to protect a person or an objecy of great importance.
The Transformers movies really killed his reputation. When you watch The Rock and the first Bad Boys you see real skill and passion there. If he never did those trash Transformers films and had sought out more quality films to make his name, he'd be a respected action director on par with Tony Scott.

Good to see that Sean Connery didn't say "Never Again"...it may not be officially a Bond film, but come on...a great way for him to say goodbye to his most famous character.
I saw this in the movie theater at the end of 6th grade with my friends and we had a sleepover afterwards and we played like War like in the house you know like Navy Seals versus Marines with the lights off and playing tag and Nerf guns oh man it was epic
this is one of my all time favorite movie of Nicolas Cage, after National treasures. been searching this for years, lol. The only thing stuck in my head is Nicolas cage and that scene where he caught one of the chemical balls, that i forgot how many big shot were in this movie. like, whoa.

Nicolas Cage maybe Start the Movie on screen, but Sean Connery is the one who make the Conclusion Epic and Emotionally Human. 😎 With Spectacular Actions and Charismatic Performance, Sean Connery Character become the True Hero of the Movie.
