Ask Jade if it feels simpler or smoother to have her back to the scrap pile and swing the scrap around like that. It looked smoother and easier to do. However I still feel that the old way was better where you could just toss the scrap forward and to the side instead of turning it 90 degrees. Facing the scrap pile did not look as easy.
Some of the edge pieces become stickers. I am not sure what they do with the rest but I imagine that they burn them in the various fires they have going, like when they make charcoal.

Some of them are cut to length and become the stickers that they are using at the end of the video while stacking the lumber.

Take a chainsaw to that edging scrap every 15 inches and you have easy to stack/package firewood.
The edging scrap is not big enough for firewood.
