I think Scoot will continue to develop slowly but will eventually be great. My guess is he will take off in year 3 or 4. His bag is ridiculous, it’s just a matter of refining it.

He gets to the line really well for a rookie. Already has a better FT rate than any guard on his team. He gets to the rim at will, even w/ teams currently sagging off him at the 3 line. Really the only 2 things he needs to clean up big time is his finishing at the rim & turnovers (both of which are VERY common issues for rookie PG's).

He has the potential to be a great pg in the league BUT I noticed that he MAINLY drives right and scores from the right side ALOT .... and when he goes left he either passes or goes for a pull up jumpshot . Including a game where he shot 18% vs Denver. In the month of February hes averaging 12pts on 11 shots, thats horrid efficiency, He is a 48% true shooter.

And its Trae's inefficiency that would have kept him out of the allstar game despite him averaging more points than all the other guard that got chosen ahead of him. Trae wouldn't have been an allstar if it wasnt for the injuries to Randle and Embiid.
He’s like an underdeveloped version of SGA. Has the general skillset, but has a very weak jumper and not the best playmaking ability. Hopefully all that will be fixed with time.
