Why you didn't change the shocks? If you were already there,? They didn't look too good?
Bear of a job way to go with the flow. Patience seems key here. Weird how the other side always seems easier knowing all the pitfalls except for the little awkward axle lower ball joint dance at the end lol. Thanks for all tips along the way. Do not ever replace the OEM axles with aftermarket trash unless you want problems. Buy OE replace, reboot before they start clicking or get OE from the junkyard. It is not necessary to remove the lower ball join, only the upper to be able to remove the CV axle.

This and you can replace axle with simple removing the lower ball joint and take off the shock . . I just replaced the lower controls arm and axle boot last week on mine . Try it out next time you’ll be pleasantly surprised :)

You forgot to take the copper washer off of the old CV Joint and put it on the new one.
Sorry the ball joint. And control arm bolts on bottom control arm and shock .
No Mather how you do it I agree with you to many steps to get them axles out haha

You mentioned in a previous video that these first gen xterras are making a comeback. Its odd, but I never noticed it around where I live until you mentioned it. I love the first gen xterras. I've owned 3 or 4 of em. Up until a few years ago, people didn't think twice about em. Now I see more of them on the road. Keep up the good vids man!
