it sold out not in an hour, not in 20 minutes, in less than 5 minutes, that's actually ridiculous, and they gave us the wrong link too...
besides, how on earth does it get soldout within the first 500 people on the site, when the arena has a capacity of up to 20000 people???
Ticketmaster is a complete shitshow of a ticketing website, I tried along with several others to get tickets. none of us could get through to the payments or anything at all, we even had accommodation booked, welp, no worlds for any of us
That's easy, all those 500 people just decided they wanted 39 of their friends to join them----wait, this is rocket league, we don't have any friends.
Fort Worth v2 was similar. I remember being there and Friday was like half capacity. Barely got any better over the weekend. Embarrassing. Me and my NA friends wanted to buy tickets and visit France for the week 🤷♂️
it's not 20k it's 16k for concerts when they allow crowd to the floor.
For traditional sports games like basketball, handball, voleyball or anything else that is played indoors is 10 to 13k
So I'm guessing for esports it will be similar to that.

make it so tickets cannot be reassigned, only refunded. Completely end scalping by having ID verification as a requirement to enter the venue: the name on the ticket has to match the name on your ID, be it a drivers license, a passport, a healthcare card. whatever, really. These are two simple changes that would completely fix the scalping issue.

that’s the two of us ;-) I’m wondering whether to go if everything is supposed to be in French. Stream on the phone is not an option because firstly of the delay, and secondly that the internet connection will be weak there anyway with so many people in the venue
@PK-pc5lq I was thinking the same thing. But the arena might be so loud that we won't be able to hear the French or English casting.
Finally a great PR move from whoever is responsible at Psyonix or Epic.
I hope they decided to host the event in LDLC Arena, as that is the only one located in Lyon Decines, as far as I'm aware. I could be wrong though as I'm not from Lyon, not even France for that matter.
In any case, if RLCS is indeed held in this arena, it can easily be reconfigured to accept at least 10.000 people, although the full capacity of the arena is significantly higher.
It is finally time to show those casters what 10.000 people in arena actually look like, and not that wannabe full crowd from Dickies.

@IDKIAMBORED07 when a product or event tickets get snatched by scalpers that only means one thing. The demand for it is through the roof. Not a single time in history of RL have tickets been sold out in one day, if that's true to begin with, and that only means arena will be full to the brim, with or without scalpers.
EU crowd is just built differently. In my country, we fill 20k basketball arena almost every week for Euro league games as we have two teams playing there so it's usually every week, and those tickets are mostly always snatched by scalpers but still, we show up all the time.
