I recently had the opportunity to see #Westlife live in New York City for the first time. The concert started with Starlight and the experience was extraordinary. The best decision to open a show was that song.

They all sound incredible. This whole album - I loved every single track and that’s SO rare these days. Mark absolutely killed and buried those ad-libs at the end geez. My jaw dropped when I first heard this. Goosebumps!
The more I listen to this song I really truly honestly appreciate Shane's versatility. He can transform his voice to singing just like the current young millennials. Amazing. You would think Ed Sheeran is singing the first parts of this song.
There is something ABBA-ish about the chorus especially before the bridge when they sing "daaa-ncing at-the-speed of light". I can't explain it. I love this song so much.

Man, this video is AWESOME! You have no idea how I was smiling the entire time watching your reaction to Westlife. I realize that the US is like the only country that Westlife didn't really popular there, because of the blacklist thing back in late 90s, if you know what I mean. So, even though you are an American you seem to know a lot about Westlife, although you confused Nicky with Kian in the second verse, but that's okay, a lot of people do. Also you even went to Ireland to watch their concert! You're like a hard core fan of them 😅

First time watching a reaction of yours. Can I just say how cool it is that an American is reacting to them. I hear that some of the songs on their new album will be quite personal, including Shane singing about losing his parents 10 months apart from each other. Ed Sheeran also wrote another song for the new album. I agree about how they sound live. I've seen them twice when they came to my country. Also, don't know if you are aware or have seen it but I recently found a compilation of videos titled "Westlife Can they cut it" and it is about them going to Nashville and learning a Kenny Rogers song in 2 days and then performing it in front of a Nashville crowd. Might want to check it out. They cover his song called "Daytime friends and nighttime lovers". They tried breaking into the US but for some reason could not. Thanks for the reaction. I always regreted, that they didn't have so much publicity as Backstreet Boys and N'Sync. And I've always liked them a lot ("My Love" was the first one I've heard from them and instantly fell on love) I had no clue, that they recorded a new song, so thank you even more for this video! Yay thank you:) there is a video of J-Hope singing to Westlife My Love. They had some new music when Spectrum came out but were sidelined due to covid. When Spectrum came out, they had finally hit the charts here in the US.They have new label and management. They are back :) new album Nov 26th. Plus they have plans to hopefully Tour the US finally (fingers crossed). They did this live the other night on BBC Strictly. They have performed in Nashville when they had to do a show at Wildhorse Saloon. They had to do a Kenny Rogers song, and see if they could win over a country crowd. It was only 4 of them, because Brian's wife was expecting their first daughter at the time.

p.s. as a lifer i can say nickys part was "so many times i turned away but something held me back that day" on the second verses pre chorus. But we don't care how many lines he sings, we love them all equally. Live they are beyond amazing....best concerts ever! I have seen BSB in concert too and it was literally a bore. Noone was even out of their seats..could have been anyone on stage. Every life gig ive been at (been a few lol) everyone is out of their seats going mad. Woo!

First off, loved your reaction! Just watched the whole thing Landibear mentioned. There a whole 40+ minute video of the whole thing together as well. Listening to Westlife again brought back such great memories. The were quite big where I came from and remember listening to them all through high school. I was lucky enough to win a private gig in 2010 when Shane left the stage at George Martins air studios I took his left bottle of water it's in my loft after travelling the full country from my twenties I'm 54 now I will ne rr forget that gig everxx

This can deal and get over with Covid 19 period, just believe everybody, it is a really great video and the song is really amazing, we all are in the darkest time right now, but leave the problem and keep chase the hope and light and we will get there just like what does this person are say in the video and NEVER GIVE IT UP, WESTLIFE IS DEFINITELY SING A REALLY GREAT SONG AND INSPIRE TO MANY PEOPLE IN THE WORLD, that is why they have so many fans are still here and never leave them and Westlife's music legacy will carry on forever, they are always the number one and best, my favourite number one band in the world!
