In an interview he says the purpose of the long drawn out synth and lack of movement or engagement for the first minute is to grab your attention as much as possible. He mentions that our current generation has a very short attention span and that the extended the synth at the start of IGOR'S THEME for live shows to make you really stop and focus. IGOR as an album is a very abstract piece of content so you have to kind of dive DEEP into it and really envelop yourself in it to understand his creative decisions. Also, just in general Tyler has a very VERY strong grasp on his audience. If he asked them to hush you'd be able to hear a pin drop. If he asked them to scream they'd lose their voices to do so. It's just this energy and radiance he has that captivates us I guess.
@@saxshton bro 💀. Now it’s all computer basically, there is little artists that don’t use auto tune. Also, most songs from today are remixes or use parts of older songs. Nothing original that’s also really good comes out these days. That’s why I resort to the good old 70s, 80s and 90s when the music was still great. Btw, no I was born in the late 2000s so don’t call me an oldie
bro u act like the whole show was this one song and he just got off the stage and went home after this video ended. nah he does a lot onstage and even in this album specifically. check out his love performances of "New Magic Wand" and tell me he doesn't "do anything"
Please explore this album and his live performances of it more. It's much deeper than just "he's standing there while an instrumental plays" This is the intro to an album, it's the gateway into the rest of the piece.
@@alexfinns6162 IGOR doesn't really have a genre to it, it's a personal album to him so it's kind of a mish mash of stuff that sounds like pure ear candy, you're meant to clear your entire head looking into the album and only have the music to create a picture in your head of the lyrics

That album is a perfect musical loop with the synth intro and outro included
He has no lyrics on this intro
Do you have the video right after this song where he makes fun of the crowd?
I have the video where he calls out a fan for having his hands in their pocket
john oliver last week tonight

So disappointed. Music nowadays is dictated on the "play" button. My heart aches for the people who have never seen real live music.
bruh 💀
mfw music gets more advanced other than just 4 people stoned as hell playing random chords on stage
this song doesn’t have tyler’s vocals, he performs every other song live properly

@@CherrySteinz ah ok I understand. Sorry. I might look into him, it’s not really my kind of music though.
