I got the upgrade kit as well as descendants. Was really impressed that they ended up giving us every card as a reprint. With the new board and reprinted tokens I now have a spare 1st edition game. More than happy to support this game on KS a really true indie company.
I genuinely love the event cards in this game. For other titles, I'm guessing this would have been slapped into a giant book, but for some reason it just really works well imho with the general "card overload" that this game delivers. It's so much fun to have characters that pick up and equip random gear - I always feel like a genuine story emerges from your adventures in the Fallen Land. Now that my updated copy has arrived, I'm looking forward to getting it back to the table - it's a classic!
Yeah. But I found that the interior edges of the cardboard of the lid can sometimes get hung up on them and damages them. I prefer them in the base box.
I have an off the topic question for you, Daniel: How do you feel about Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition? It is a very lore rich "comic book" hero card game with tons of interesting campaigns and a whole podcast on the very deep lore behind all the character backstories.
Can anyone who has the 2nd edition core box and the descendants expansion say - does the expansion box fit into the core box? I’m interested to know if so, or whether it sits outside (as Daniel showed with the first edition)
Is it possible you could make your different opening music/sound effects available for download for ringtones & alerts in the iTunes and Google stores? They are so great and well composed. And might not garner so many glances as when my Mom calls and my phone belts out the opening drums of Conan the Barbarian!! haha. thanks.
@@TheDungeonDive What a treasure trove. I asked for a simple ringtone and was awarded with a key to another level of the dungeon to dive.... thank you Daniel.
Yes, please let us know if this expansion is compatible with the first edition! I also never got the second edition, but my wife and I love the first edition, so I am curious if this expansion is compatible with it before getting it.
Expansion is compatible yes. With the exceptions of 2 new factions (Mexican and Canadian). However you can upgrade to the playmat, which has the extra locations and will make this expansion fully compatible and have the larger map too (40% bigger).
Wise choice to only get the descendants expansions! The new map and box is too big for me and I wish I can trade for a 1st edition instead. I end up throwing the box and map to the loft and only keep the descendant box and a single tray. I don’t need the map to play this game anyway :)
City management either give you +1/+2 on success rolls, and offers defense dies if a player attacks your outposts. So easy to manage and worth upgrading big time. Especially with the new town event cards that will punish factions without upgrading their towns.
I love to read, but when I want to read... I read. The goal shouldn't be to see how much text a game can fit on a card, imo, but how to systemetize the narrative and let the story emerge through *play*... not reading tons of text. This game would make my butt tired.
Jon here from Fallen Dominion Studios. Thanks man! Great video!
I like what I see here, thanks for sharing!
I keep looking daily for a copy of the descendants expansion at retail but zero luck in UK. Hopefully it will be available at some point...

The faction cards will fit inside the Descendant’s. Slip down the side.

@@TheDungeonDive Thanks for highlighting it Daniel. Will take them out and pop into the core box.
Damn! There was a missing pallet in the UK, and I´m one of the 8% of the backers, who has to wait longer,. AAArgh!
That sucks! It’ll be worth the wait though.
Did you also get the upgrade pack? Excitedly waiting for my copy here in Canada, can't wait to play it for the very first time!
No. I was already happy with everything in the 1st edition.

I’m not really into super heroes, and I wasn’t a big fan of the game play on it. So not for me.
I have the 2nd edition and Descendants here in the U.K. - is anyone interested who missed the kickstarter? played twice :)
Hi l am interested. Is it still available?

Descendants box and sleever box fit perfectly in the 2nd edition core box.

I've got a bunch of albums available for purchase on Bandcamp

New box is too big?
@@KickstarterRadio1024 Too big for me, it is in a weird rectangular shape that is longer and taller than most of my board games.
You can actually fit the Descendants box in the main box. Save you some space.
Only in the 2nd edition box.
Is this game like a post apocalyptic Hexplore it with like... city management?
Kind of?

Better than Maximum Apocalypse?
More my kind of game. Only you can say if it's better for you or not.
You should have gotten 2nd edition. Expansion fits into the box.
Didn't want it or need it.
@@TheDungeonDive Yea you do. You are missing out on all the fun in Mexico and Canada.😁

Good thing there are games for everyone to enjoy!
