Good reminders! Used to have a shop but now work from home. The mere thought of paying someone rent is unthinkable now! You’re right, invest it in people who can help grow the business! You’re great!❤️
I love your videos. I'm just starting to think of having a floral business and experience with retail. I love retail, but agreed - rent can add up. Add in lights, signage, construction on your street, etc. It can be alot. Your info is invaluable and I hope your biz is doing well. You're sending out the good flower karma and I hope it's coming back your way. You totally deserve it. XO

Hi, I love your channel and advice! What would be the best way to store flowers from home and keep them cool besides my food refrigerator which I heard is not a good idea. Thank you!
Hi Grace - it's so great to hear from you. You're right the a food refrigerator is not a good idea, because it's too cold for flowers. Here are a couple of additional resources I have created to provide more guidance. We are going to do strictly an at home business flower shop. We were looking at joining the flower network which they would send us business and as far as they said we don’t need a point of sale. It’s all from the phone. What network do you use if any?
Hey. Can you recommend a course to learn more about floristry? I've actually been working in a florist as a Christmas role and learning on the job, but I'd like to bolster my new skills with a certificate. Would you be up for giving a couple of personal coaching sessions? Many thanks :)

Hi, I've been a florist for 15 years and have always wanted my own business but have no clients so am nervous to take that leap as I have full-time employment in a shop which is guarantee income to pay my mortgage ect. However I feel I can't grow anymore or earn more where I am I'm so I'm stuck in a needle and a hay stack! Any advice?
Oh yes do it!!! I know it feels so scary and unknown but with all that experience under your belt, you have such a great foundation to build on. I think one thing I wished I had done much earlier in my business was to get crystal clear on the specific designs and customers I wanted to work with. The more you tune into the business you want to create, getting clients is such an easier process. 🥰
I got the small retail shop but thinking to move to home based business so just wondering 1. Can the customers still come and buy like the retail shop or not? 2. As I read, we can not display the product so any chance we would like to do some painting or decoration outside? Thank you very much in advance and looking forward to hearing more about your experience!
Great questions! You'll want to check with your local government / council in terms of whether or not you'll be able to use your home as a retail shop. This varies from state to state. And I'd set up an easy process so you can create a "display" using your social media channels. For example, feature your flowers on your Instagram Stories and keep it current with what you have on hand. That way, when you're on the phone with a customer they can easily see what you have on hand. 🥳

Do you own a home? Can you buy a house under your business name? And run your business from your home that way? Does that mean you need good credit?
All good questions - you’d probably need to talk to a financial advisor or accountant because things are different all over the world. 🤗

Is Google ADVERTISING the best direct marking to get customers? (Don’t know why that’s capitalized but not editing it).
Definitely - if you're focused on generating online orders, Google Search Ad Campaigns has been the best way to increase volume.
