    I love the instruction videos. They are so helpful. So much easier watching than reading how to do it.

      It's a pleasure and I agree, often you pick up another idea or a slightly different way of doing things.

    Very very nice. I understood every and everything more than reading from the book. Thanks to you. Everything was very very clear. You take your time and explain very well. Thank, you thank you. It took me so long to understand from the book that I have to leave off for so long. Thank you again and again.

    Hello Lucy, thank so much for this video. I have watched it a few times it has helped me sew blind hems with ease. I now watch it to refresh my memory on how to turn the hem up. Just brilliant! Happy sewing 🧵

    Just did my first blind hem! I made a circle skirt using McCalls M7022 View F and I couldn't face hand sewing the mile long hem with my arthritic hands. My blind hem isn't perfect but, as my good friend and neighbour would say, a man on a galloping horse wouldn't notice! For a first go, I'm thrilled with it. Thanks for the tutorial, Lucy.

    Enjoy the video and love your accent. Your explanation is very informative. I bought the blind stitch presser footer and followed your instructions and my pants hem came out perfect after a few tries on a piece of scrap fabric. Thank for the wonderful video.

    Thanks! It is good to have a refresher. I haven't done much sewing this year due to one disaster after another including an oak tree destroying my roof and bedroom ceilings. All that is sorted now and, after some minor disasters I am planning my sewing room so I can get on with what I want to do. I haven't done much blind hemming on my machine, usually sewing by hand. I hate sewing by hand! So your video is very timely! Thanks again.

    Really helpful video as never been brave enough to do it. With a fabric that frays would you overlock the raw hem first?

  • @iknithappy
    @iknithappy 2 года назад +1

    How do you know which side of the fabric you are sewing on? Also, do I do the blind hem after the garment is sewn, or before the garment is sewn (flat) like you have demonstrated? Thank you!!

    • @SewEssential
      @SewEssential  2 года назад

      If you fold the fabric how I do in the video you will be sewing on the wrong side of the fabric as you sew. Usually people hem after the garment has been constructed right at the end. I hope that helps.

  • @kristinesutton846

    Why haven't you shown you changing the controls on the machine. Plus one does not need a blind him foot. I have used a standard foot with a wide opening and produced a wonderful hem.😊

    The one thing you didn't explain is where the different stitches are supposed to go on the fabric. Nothing made sense because that was missing. The most fundamental piece of information.
