I have a particular love for both hip hop and rock/grunge and as soon as I heard that chorus I jumped up and down I was so excited. I immediately knew I was gonna fall in love with the song as soon as I heard the teaser, but this is on ANOTHER LEVEL. The chorus is so incredibly catchy and is perfect to head bop to, and the rapping and production is incredible!!!

OMG, omg!! I never imagined Hobi had THIS music in him. I went along on the trip with Hobi and the rap line, I never imagined we would take the road to grunge/rock. More makes me happy, so happy for Hobi that he found a different (his?) voice. I feel a bit sad that he had this music in him, we never knew, when he was singing Dynamite. i’ve taken quite a long break from kpop because it was starting to get too radio-pop for my PERSONAL taste (even tho i completely admire and respect everything they do), but this is exactly what ive been searching for. i feel so proud of jhope for coming this far and expressing his individuality.
I've learned that my 'taste in music' is whatever gets a reaction out of me. When he went into his 90s grungeteenmovieworthy part... I was grinning. That's how I new I liked the song.
I was utterly obsessed with it from the first few seconds, like it just came in so MEAN and intense so immeadiately, the bass was like being inside the hum of a very expensive sexy car… I can believe it’s our hobi, and also can’t - I’m just so stunned and in awe of it, it’s just so fresh and refined and idk kinda even classy???? I expected the grunge hip hop but I could never have pinpointed the exact mood of it and it blew me away too, it’s seismic like I just wanna envelop myself in the song and burst my ear drums. I can’t waitttttt for the album now, I believe he said he had a strong theme/story with it so I’m expecting more exploration of this ‘Jack’ alter ego, and this is just skimming the surface and setting the mood. This is like the kind of stuff we’d hear unknown bands playing back in the Montreal clubs in the 90’s. But polished. He reminds me of Michael Jackson in the sense that he can jump into any genre but class it up with sheer talent and perfectionism.

I was blown away from this new twist J-hope has taken. It's so different compared to the bright Hope World we have seen so far, and I absolutely love it. This new look and feel suits him so, so much! There's a couple of lines in Korean that I can make out and where he says "I'm in my element" he's rally saying "I'm a fish of water that meets the water". And where he sings "eeny meeny miny mo... it's a dancing baby's flow... Keep my passion, I gotta go". And then we show the music industry office with robots just doing their job without emotion and he says that. And when we see the instrumentalists they are burn victims .. possibly indicating these people got burned from the music industry by letting them have control over their artistry. J Hope is a water fish remember? And then he shows us watching his hospitalized body and he's only a shell of his skeleton. The Jack's hat is not a hat but what happens when you keep it in the box... it's a medical device. He needs to flow and surf to his beats so that he doesn't get burned either.... and at the end we see what he showed us was in his box and he's just a Jack In that Box. Does he let it out? Or do we go in? But he closes that box after he's shown us with this crazy mix. It's brilliant and brutally honest. I'm' kind of surprised he's said all this.

I'm so happy to be able to see Hobi truly expressing himself, not only as our hope, but also as this darker more intense personality. I'm glad that he feels comfortable enough to show this side of himself. It seems like he's been putting himself in a box for so long, not that he isn't our bright cheerful guy, but because he is a human too, he is a multifaceted person. He does not owe us a specific genre or vibe, he can do whatever he wants, and I'm so happy and so proud of him for taking this step. The concept is so good! Brought me back to all my fav late 90s/early 2000s rock bands. I love how Hobi is experimenting with a much darker vibe with this song and this album overall but pulls it off so perfect yet looks effortless and I'm here for it ❤️. He has always expressed his emotions, now you can see him express his darker thoughts and feelings, like ambition, some greed even, but that's good and normal for any artist. I literally didn't expect this from Hobi (and you know, that's on me because Hobi is so so versatile and talented). But didn't expect this not in the sense of Hopeworld. But because it somehow feels different from what he has ever done even in BTS. I'm so so proud of him and so excited for the rest of the album.

I have a particular love for both hip hop and rock/grunge and as soon as I heard that chorus I jumped up and down I was so excited. I immediately knew I was gonna fall in love with the song as soon as I heard the teaser, but this is on ANOTHER LEVEL. The chorus is so incredibly catchy and is perfect to head bop to, and the rapping and production is incredible!!!

OMG, omg!! I never imagined Hobi had THIS music in him. I went along on the trip with Hobi and the rap line, I never imagined we would take the road to grunge/rock. More makes me happy, so happy for Hobi that he found a different (his?) voice. I feel a bit sad that he had this music in him, we never knew, when he was singing Dynamite. I've learned that my 'taste in music' is whatever gets a reaction out of me. When he went into his 90s grungeteenmovieworthy part... I was grinning. That's how I new I liked the song.
I was utterly obsessed with it from the first few seconds, like it just came in so MEAN and intense so immeadiately, the bass was like being inside the hum of a very expensive sexy car… I can believe it’s our hobi, and also can’t - I’m just so stunned and in awe of it, it’s just so fresh and refined and idk kinda even classy???? I expected the grunge hip hop but I could never have pinpointed the exact mood of it and it blew me away too, it’s seismic like I just wanna envelop myself in the song and burst my ear drums. I can’t waitttttt for the album now, I believe he said he had a strong theme/story with it so I’m expecting more exploration of this ‘Jack’ alter ego, and this is just skimming the surface and setting the mood. MAN, I’m so proud. That first listen was an EXPERIENCE , & I keep thinking how excited he must’ve been to release this :’) Stoooooopid good
This is like the kind of stuff we’d hear unknown bands playing back in the Montreal clubs in the 90’s. But polished. He reminds me of Michael Jackson in the sense that he can jump into any genre but class it up with sheer talent and perfectionism.
May I add I hope (pardon the pun) that this style makes a comeback, because I really liked it and it seemed to be eclipsed by other stuff at the time.

I was blown away from this new twist J-hope has taken. It's so different compared to the bright Hope World we have seen so far, and I absolutely love it. This new look and feel suits him so, so much! I can't wait to hear the full album!

There's a couple of lines in Korean that I can make out and where he says "I'm in my element" he's rally saying "I'm a fish of water that meets the water". And where he sings "eeny meeny miny mo... it's a dancing baby's flow... Keep my passion, I gotta go". And then we show the music industry office with robots just doing their job without emotion and he says that. And when we see the instrumentalists they are burn victims .. possibly indicating these people got burned from the music industry by letting them have control over their artistry. J Hope is a water fish remember? And then he shows us watching his hospitalized body and he's only a shell of his skeleton. The Jack's hat is not a hat but what happens when you keep it in the box... it's a medical device.
He needs to flow and surf to his beats so that he doesn't get burned either.... and at the end we see what he showed us was in his box and he's just a Jack In that Box. Does he let it out? Or do we go in? But he closes that box after he's shown us with this crazy mix. It's brilliant and brutally honest. I'm' kind of surprised he's said all this.

When I had first listened to this song earlier this morning and I heard the chorus I-STARTED-TO-GEEK-OUT! It brought back teenage me bc back when I was in high school I would listen to a LOT of pop punk and grunge rock music. Back then it was my therapy and now BTS and k-pop is my therapy. I'm so happy to be able to see Hobi truly expressing himself, not only as our hope, but also as this darker more intense personality. I'm glad that he feels comfortable enough to show this side of himself. It seems like he's been putting himself in a box for so long, not that he isn't our bright cheerful guy, but because he is a human too, he is a multifaceted person. He does not owe us a specific genre or vibe, he can do whatever he wants, and I'm so happy and so proud of him for taking this step. The concept is so good! Brought me back to all my fav late 90s/early 2000s rock bands. I love how Hobi is experimenting with a much darker vibe with this song and this album overall but pulls it off so perfect yet looks effortless and I'm here for it ❤️. He has always expressed his emotions, now you can see him express his darker thoughts and feelings, like ambition, some greed even, but that's good and normal for any artist. When you've achieved so much already but still want more, that's real. Can't wait to see what he does in Lollapalooza!!!! (Hobipalloza).
