      It’s actually 300 as a result of steroid usage. Your natural hormone production stops when you use gear since you’re in a huge excess of T already. As you taper off cycle, it can take months to recover hormone production (some people never recover if they use T/other drugs at high enough doses for long enough). Someone of his height and build is extremely unlikely to have genetically low T, and they wouldn’t have their T drop that low naturally at this age. This is basically an admission to using gear. Of course everyone knows that UFC fighters take it, but this is just an example if you can read in between the lines.

      @@ExternusArmy You have no ability to make that claim at all, 300's is still within the average range for blokes, there's no correlation between height and there's a negative correlation between body fat and testosterone. The only aspects that are inconsistent is the muscle mass itself, which in itself is not damning and could be a result of multitude of genetic conditions. It is completely inconclusive with just that information alone and the best you could do is speculate

      @@Endrak666bro Derrick Lewis is almost 40 years old not that hard to believe his t levels are getting lower.

    • @ExternusArmy
      @ExternusArmy 5 месяцев назад +3

      @@Endrak666 300 is only considered normal now. The normal test ranges are being reduced every few years since the average testosterone level is dropping consistently. It is actually low if you looked even two or three decades ago, especially for a world-class athlete like Derrick Lewis. It makes no sense that a world-class athlete has T that low naturally and is still dominating competition. He is fat, but natural Strongmen competitors are also heavy with T levels twice that.
      Testosterone also has a property where higher dosages have a drop off on their effect. In other words, the absence of testosterone is much more impactful than the addition of more testosterone. So 200 to 300 has a much bigger impact than 1000 to 1100. It’s why you need to take such high doses when on cycle. I should qualify this by saying I’m a medical student planning to take care of athletes who have abused steroids in the past. I’ve studied this extensively and it’s my primary goal to practice in the future. Not to act like an authority, but I’m very familiar with this topic.

    It's crazy that the ufc knockout king has very little martial arts training compared to his counterparts.

    I mean he just had a fight, my understanding is that you don't have one T-level, it fluctuates. And after exercising it peaks then drops, so if he got tested after the fight, that's when it would be dropping.

    I’d easily guess he’s in the 300ng/dl range. His size and weight problems are a huge factor in hormone levels. Check his estrogen and estradiol levels. They’ll be higher than reference range. But like Derek(MPMD) has stated before. If you’ve eaten or worked out before getting blood tested that can change the documented testosterone level dramatically.

    Mine is low 300s and I’m a beefy old fit strong dude too (not an elite athlete though) but an all round sporty guy. I assumed mine would be high too but I think it’s how much of the test your body can use more so than total amount.
