    Hi Daniel, in my opinion nothing beats the good old QuadraVerb. It sounds breathtaking with synths. I also have the Big Sky, Specular Tempus, Sony HR-MP5 and some great machines from Lexicon. Every time I play around with reverb and synths I ended up using the QuadraVerb for the final recording. It has something that no other reverb pedal/machine has. An extraoridnary warm gloom and an incredible depth and width. It would be amazing if you can make a video about it! Love your videos, keep up the great work and take care. Cheers!

    if i was mainly a synth player i'd invest in separate delays and reverbs and modulation but since i use it as an added texture in the band i like the sky5000 to save space with the nice feature of presets really helps, mix that with the boss MD-500 that stacks modulation and a KHDK abyss (bass drive/distortion with a clean mix so it can handle low notes) then i have a wide array of tones with not a lot of real estate being taken away

    I like this gentleman. Also love my Ventris, does a lot for the money and has so much tweakabiliy with neuroapp. 6 knobs are just the top of the iceberg. Most of options (lots of them) are inside which could be assigned to 2 remappable knobs or expression pedal. 2 DSPs mean you could produce two reverbs simultaneously, parallel or cascades, or switching between the two on fly with trails. "Freeze" shown in Blackhole is there too. And don't forget about awesome True Spring algo for guitars. Hands down, other reverbs sounds awesome, but for example Mercury has no presets like all Meris pedals.

  • @SyntheticSan

    Can I cover of of these with just one pedal like Eventide Space or do I need a pedal chain instead? I’m aware of the fact that every pedal has it’s own algorithms and so on but for the begining I own the Rooms from death by audio and would purchse the EVENTIDE SPACE for the beginning. Or would you recommend Empress and or Ventris instead. I know all are great but I have to start at one point and develope from there my pedal chain in the future. Thank you

    I love flanger and ping pong delays (slow ones). People with bluetooth mono trash can portable speakers and mobile phones destroy the art of stereo field positioning of sounds and instruments. You really have to hear Pink Floyd The Wall with good headphones to enjoy all the work that went into the spatiality of the music!

      Hi Dine. Not really any particular books as much as two degrees from Berklee College, one in Music Production and Engineering, and the other in Music Synthesis. I was also trained by the US Army on "Digital Multi-Channel Communications, Operation, and Repair" before I auditioned and became the keyboardist for the US Army Rock Band. -_Daniel_

    Can the Strymon Big Sky take Line Level In from a Synth?
    I don't see any Line/Instrument at the back of the pedal same as on the Volante.
    Or do we need it a Re Amp box to convert Line to Instrument Level and make it all work?

    • @sweetwater
      @sweetwater  2 года назад

      Hi Olive O. Strymon pedals have always been good with guitar and bass (active and passive) as well as line-level keyboard outputs. As with all stomp boxes, I recommend that you keep your keyboard's final volume knob (or slider) at about 75%. Thanks for watching! -_Daniel_

    What reverb and delay effect pedal do you recommend to use with a digital piano and Rhodes for funky music?

  • @louie0683

    I want to know if the BOSS RV-5 pedal is compatible with headphones? Is it just a mono input/output? I don’t own an amp or stereo and want to connect one to my Yamaha piano and play with headphones and was concerned that I might only hear sound through one headphone and that they’re mainly built for amps. Thank you! And great video! :)
    Kind Regards

      Hi Louis. Here's a trick I often use when I'm trying a stereo FX pedal on my desk and don't want to use an amp or a mixer. Plug this adapter into the L/R Output jacks of the pedal:
