Great!!! i did the assembly just as you did it, and it works!!! but... my reel keeps a sound when retrieving the line, what could it be? thanks. Greetings from Mexico
I appreciate the love and glad I could help! I think if your reel is making noise while you reel in it could be the gears needing greased or something like that, unfortunately I haven’t run into the with any of my reels yet and haven’t taken it apart that much. I can try and do that later though because I might want to try and learn that too.
@@DanglingwithDietrik Thaks for the answer, befora doing this, there was not noise, after this it begans. and it's in the anti-reverse. because if i realease the anti-reverse there is no noise
Hello friend, God bless you. I am from Peru and I have a strike force 4000b that needs a change of this piece that you present in this video. How can I get this part or order it to repair my reel? Your help would be greatly appreciated.🙂
I had a great experience looking mine up on mikesreelrepair.com, they didn’t have it in stock but found it for me and shipped it to me in a week or two. I hope they can still send you stuff in Peru or most places but I might be wrong
I had found it most recently at mikesreelrepair.com and they didn’t have it in stock but they immediately ordered it then shipped it to me, try searching the name or item number in google for lowest price maybe but that website was the only thing I’ve found for awhile for the part
Hello! Do you really recommend this reel? I could buy 2500b reel with 8' rod and line as a full set for 23$. But Im still afraid that the reel mechanics are too weak for fishing in any long term. I have never broken rod or reel in last 30 years! I have pretty much always used cheapie equipment. But this Daiwa reel, it scares me.
I’ve actually caught 3 or 4 Flathead catfish on this reel and one was big at 37 pounds, but I’ve had a problem or two from that like the drag sticks really bad and I’m pretty sure the bail spring broke earlier than it should’ve so I think it has a decent chance to give you trouble if it reels in a few too many big fish
I’ve never had to buy that but the place I ordered the other part from was mikesreelrepair.com, and you might want to also look up the part number on Daiwa website to make sure it’s the right part
Then I’m pretty sure it’s something else (if you bought a new anti-reverse pawl), it’s likely the gears the thing hits against got shaved and stopped working. Or possibly the spring that’s wrapped around the anti-reverse pawl is on it wrong, or something I have no idea about
@@Paracelsios I had looked at mine again too and I took a short video of it below, I can't see any damage on the gear the anti-reverse pawl hits off of. But I have no idea how difficult it will be to fix that part. ruclips.net/user/shortsRemW8hLfrj0
