The one thing that nobody mentions is the way Usyk reacted to that shot. Look at body shots and the reaction of fighters when they receive a good punch to the body. It is almost impossible to fall on your back after receiving a body shot and your system shuts down. When you receive such a shot you kneel or crouch or go on your hands and feet. Because of the intense pain the body’s natural inclination is to bring your head forward and down. Usyk went straight on his back. This is a more normal response to a low blow than it is to a liver or body shot.
No, he didn't go "straight on his back" at all. He hit the floor ON HIS KNEES, crawled around ON HIS KNEES for several seconds BEFORE rolling over onto his back. Don't be disingenuous. The footage is right there.
Look at the way the jab landed roy , be serious these are heavy weights with serious power jab or power shot it can seriously hurt you, which it did in this case.
The audio is difficult to hear because the music is higher pitched than the interview. The body shot was recorded on video but it was a billowing below the belt in front of the camera and he quit the fight by breaking the rules as he didn’t take the mandatory 5 minute break, it was a no- contest situation because he quit. Luckily he was in front of his Polish neighbours who adore him so much.
Wat up Roy ! I dig the Hitman shout out. I reckon he gives you hell. Both one shot fast, both great lead hooks, both got good feet, both got SNAP ! And both as stubborn as a mule ! Woulda been FIREWORKS !
Any punch that lands below the belt line and on the shorts, without any of the glove landing on the body above the belt (not even an inch or cm above the belt line) is a low blow. I don't understand any argument about it? That punch (especially as it resulted from an uppercut) pushed the testical protection cup up and most likely hurt real badly. Been there, thank you, felt it and don't need it.
Low blow line is still the hip line though, not wherever your belt might sit. If he was wearing his protective high to cause the problem, it shouldn’t be the other man’s fault. It was borderline at best.
This is the problem “proper hard hitting heavyweights” will all have with Usyk. They see him as a cruiserweight who can’t punch hard. He punches hard enough, otherwise even with the best skills in the world these “big punchers” would walk straight through him. They don’t realise that Usyk had a decent pop on top of his skills until they are in there with him, then it’s too late. That fight also proved that Dubois is levels below the much maligned AJ. He didn’t quit, wasn’t dropped and tried his very best, especially in the second fight. Usyk v Fury next please. I think Usyk has a chance but time is fast catching up with him. Fury hasn’t had a real test since Wilder 3 so that may be a factor, then again, Fury has always raised his game when needed. Does Fury still have the ambition? Usyk certainly does.
If one gets a marker and draws a line from the belly button around a person's body and that is the border for which low or not low is defined, then this matter is very SUBJECTIVE. People's bodies are shaped differently and I bet: >Some boxing cups MAY cover the belly button and other will show it. >Furthermore, even if the cup doesn't cover the belly button, the shorts may cover the belly button. Someone get the rules book out from the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, ABC, XYZ, and XXX and shows us the written rules regarding this one.... I have yet to see a single referee say "your cup and/or shorts are covering your belly button so please adjust your cup and/or shorts so I can see your belly button." NEVER have I heard or seen a ref say this. Your thoughts .... ???
I personally don't think it was low but i can see the argument for it....the big question for me is Why didn't Dubois get a point deducted, the referee did nothing on that front because he did land a couple in the fight earlier and the referee acknowledged and let Dubois know not to do that. As for Dubois moving forward i do think there is world champion in him he might just have to wait his turn,he's only 25 and he's still very raw at the elite level....obviously he needs to work on his defence because that's twice he's been stopped by the jab Jo Joyce did it as well. As for Usyk i still say Fury beats him all day long as he's too big and too strong and he has the endurance to go 12 rounds....i would love to see Usyk vs Wilder that would be a great fight
I love Roy, I really do. But just remember the last sentence he says in the video about how heavyweight fights should be played out, then go back and watch his fight vs John Ruiz. Anyone see where I’m going?
Yeah, I always believed that this was a "Weak" excuse by Dubious! Even if it was a bad call, he's the Champ, he's always gonna get the benefit of the doubt. So, you have to continue to "Dominate" and leave no doubts!!! But, Dubois isn't "Built like that"!! He has "No Dog" in him. He looked weak against Joyce and now this. The two British Boxers with the most "Dog" (outside of Fury, of course) are Chisora and D. Whyte! But, both those guys lack the skill and athleticism of Joshua and Dubois!
it might have been just a jab but Usyk rattled your brains with HARD punches, just ask AJ. When u dont know where the punches r coming from, and cant land 1 ...better to fight another day... Dubois was not ready for this level, his manager knew better ...
Dan did score a knock-out! Not being much of a boxer he had to rely on a 'one hit wonder' shot just like that controversial one. Usyk used to be quite humble but winning against Joshua twice he seems to be getting cocky. There is no way he can beat Deontay Wilder let alone Tyson Fury.
From the BBBoC/Queensbury rules section 3.31 regarding low blows - ‘the “belt” is an imaginary line drawn across the body from the top of the hip bones’. It wasn’t low.
Nice quote, however maybe you should fact check your opinion 😂 Dip down slightly and cover your side with your elbow. Then visualise a fist just below your elbow. You'll see the fist is clearly below your belly button 🤷 that means it is a low blow. Mister objective, change your name to biased media instead😜 nothing objective about your analysis at all 😂😂
@@ObjectiveMediathis fight wasn't under the jurisdiction of the BBBofC/Queensbury. Try quoting the rules that did actually apply to the fight if you want to sound clever.
@@ObjectiveMedia actually it does. The top of your hipbones it in line with the belly button. There for you only spelled out your complete and utter lack of knowledge on human anatomy. Proving you are in no position to make any educated arguments in this situation. Maybe you should learn to think before you speak. Lets be honest USYK is a much better fighter than Dubois. Put them in the ring again please we will get the same result. RJ my fav tnx bro
Agreed with all of that 👍
Good point especially from a professional boxer
So you RJJ doesn't know what he's talking about?
@@shashaworld4283 Where am I disagreeing with RJ?
Would be interested to see the same fight with a dry canvass
I tottaly agree with you Roy.
THE CHAMP HAS A RUclips CHANNEL? SUBBED AND NOTIFICATIONS ON
If one gets a marker and draws a line from the belly button around a person's body and that is the border for which low or not low is defined, then this matter is very SUBJECTIVE. People's bodies are shaped differently and I bet:
>Some boxing cups MAY cover the belly button and other will show it.
Dude that punch actually looked painful… I think the ref was wright on this one
Ledgend
Champ !!!!! 🥊🥊🥊🥊
Dubois mentally gave up after the low blow thinking he had already won....he didn't want to play anymore and was sulking for not getting the win.
He didn't exactly batter Usyk before the so called controversial shot either.
Roy is/was The Man
Yeah, I always believed that this was a "Weak" excuse by Dubious!
So true 🥊
it might have been just a jab but Usyk rattled your brains with HARD punches, just ask AJ.
When u dont know where the punches r coming from, and cant land 1 ...better to fight another day...
Dubois was not ready for this level, his manager knew better ...
real TBE speaks !
I'm a Londoner and wanted Dan to win. But Roy is spot on on all his points!
Yeh a warrior like Jones, ain’t getting past someone quitting from a jab…..
Great stuff play music all over the interview
From the BBBoC/Queensbury rules section 3.31 regarding low blows - ‘the “belt” is an imaginary line drawn across the body from the top of the hip bones’.
It wasn’t low.
But part of the crease in Usyk's shorts from the impact of the glove is below that imaginary line.
Nice quote, however maybe you should fact check your opinion 😂
Dip down slightly and cover your side with your elbow. Then visualise a fist just below your elbow. You'll see the fist is clearly below your belly button 🤷 that means it is a low blow.
Mister objective, change your name to biased media instead😜 nothing objective about your analysis at all 😂😂
@@nickvanoort6403 the belly button has nothing to do with it as I’ve literally just spelled out for you.
Fact check before you speak and most of all, listen to the counter argument before deciding anything.
If you were objective in your argument, you'd know it was a low blow.
The music could be more silent. I want to hear him instead of music
Perfect body shot
Roy your my hero want to listen to you. Not the back ground music 🎶
