Here is a review of Tuxedo Linux, a German based distribution based on Ubuntu with a KDE desktop and a decent set of applications. #tuxedo #linux #linuxdistributions
I own a Tuxedo laptop and I'm running this same distro now. It's a pretty good experience, it got a lot better when I installed the KDE Wayland session. I'm not sure I'd buy one of their desktops cause I could assemble a similar machine for less, but they make great Linux laptops and they work well with other distros. I used Ubuntu and Pop!_OS on it for a long time with no problems. I even did my master's degree in this laptop.
The developers for this distro really nailed the everyday Linux user requirements. Installation tick, hardware support tick, easy to use tick, decent set of default apps tick, easy to install and find other apps tick.
I recommend running it with the KDE Wayland session. Their website has instructions how to install it via the terminal. It feels a little smoother and the mousepad gestures are great if you're on a laptop.
The Tuxedo hardware is great (just be careful not to damage the graphics card when removing the internal packaging material), but KDE Plasma is NO GOOD WITH DUAL MONITOR SETUPS. It simply forgets the settings for the second monitor on every restart. The only way to restore is then by reinstalling the theme, followed by resetting the panel, applets and everything else. Also couldn't get the built-in backup to work, and couldn't install all components of Tesseract OCR. PyChess also stopped loading. After a week of struggling with issues like this, I gave up and installed Linux Mint 22 instead (there is also an option to install plain Ubuntu online). The magic key for accessing BIOS in a Tuxedo tower model is F11.

This is my daily driver. You have no idea who hard it was for me to find good KDE distributions

Just started watching your videos. Good review here... no unnecessary fluff, no faffing around.. just a clean and succinct demonstration. Well done!

Thank you. That is a good bit of information about Tuxedo
Wayland works well.....no input latency. Super fast. X11 on distros holds back responsiveness.
Wayland is ok but it is still not great with screencasting
