It was a good fight card. Tom seems to be a legit prospect. Volkov is a skilled heavyweight but his performance in this fight looked off and out of character for him. I know he had covid, maybe some effects lingered and he couldn't get himself in correct fighting shape. I don't know it looked very off to me.
@@QuackSus I agree. When Volkov was fighting Struve and Werdum he was killing it. He was a little slimmer and his techniques were on point. Like you said, he had more speed.
@@-xxxuchihacion-3318 He has looked pretty good though before. His skills and range management was good. And he fought Gane in a 5 round competitve fight. But lately he's looked lathargic.
Damn, he sure did. Doesn't mean he has a glass chin tho. Volkov is a big strong guy, that one landed good. Tom jumped right back up. That punch would've taken out most heavyweights.
Khamzat fought burns , a legit contender in his prime, aspinall has just won against an old slow volkov ,I like aspinall but khamzat has faced better competition than aspinall do
@@sui6160 no he got knocked down bro it's clear and it makes sense as he got punched in the face while standing on One leg and kicking his opponent by the other one
@@DragunovWayne blades is the toughest matchup he could’ve taken outside of the champion. I think even worse than Gane since Gane clearly needs some work with his groundgame and Tom has arguably the best ground/ grappling game in the heavyweight division
Damn this Brit moves like a middleweight wtf. He’s fast as hell for that weight division and appears to be quite strong.
He ain't shit, sorry.
I was scared when Alexander was smiling at Tom, gave me butterflies.
Wow tis guy has potential...he moves like a lightweight...Fight wit Ciryl Gane wud b a perfect match up and a real test 👍
I think he could beat Gane. He would take him down and submit him. That's my take
@@BazookaTooth707 Damn excited for his next fight wit Curtis Blaydes 👍👍
@@akmrzamirr66 Me too. Curtis definitely is a hardcore wrestler. It's going to be a dope fight

Tom's good but is he top 5 level? The fight to make is tom vs taivusa
Tom v gane would be interesting too
If he beats tai he’ll face gane next.
Honestly i think he beats Tai with ease.
Tai declined
How has now changed, so if he beats Blaydes he can fight Gane
1:15 They call that swimming without getting wet...
Lol

the weight aint doing him anything good tbh hes beefed up for his last few fights and it didnt give him any more power and just made him slower

Tom is not someone to be played with, volkov just couldn’t handle the grappling.
1:13 glass chin dropped by Volkov
no xd

he lost his balance kicking
Tom vs gane next
Tom beats everyone in his division with minimal effort.
Steroids can’t trump true skill.
He almost got ktfo in ths fight

Just throw him in with Gane and we'll see if he's all that and a bag of chips.
1:15 too slow or it would've been a knockout not just a knockdown by volkov
It was never a knockdown lol, he slipped
He was never knocked down he lost his balance hence why he had the ability to dodge volkovs follow up shot and reset like nothing happened

don;t get me wrong i love tom and i watch ufc and pride since day one...that fight seems fishy to me...
let's put tom again"st cyril in france
Fishy just because it was in England? That doesn’t make any sense, if volkov was better he would beat him, I guess he is not
