Imo this is why their channel works. Idk if you watch esports like Dota 2, but they usually use two casters (the ones who commentate a game). The first caster is a hypeman who gets the audience to cheer or get hyped, while the other is an analyst who generally talks less than the hype man, but talks about what the team was probably strategizing or going for when they did a certain play.
So its entertaining and insightful at the same time. This channel is similar.

I've recently read the manga after finishing season 4, starting from the beginning and it already recontextualizes pretty much the entire story and is so important going forward. That scene in episode 24 made this my personal anime of the year for 2020. The building suspense, the intensity of the rally, the visuals turning darker and darker to be brightened up by Hinata's take-it-easy-receive, the continuation of the rally, resulting in it to end in a way that parallels EVERY season before this. This was peak fiction, a masterclass of storytelling and character development. And this isn't even the end of Hinata's insane growth, no, arguably it's only really the beginning, there's so much more to come. Rewatched this episode so many times already and it's never gotten old, probably one of my favorite anime episodes in general....

We are all Suga after watching this episode aren't we? What an amazing ending to an amazing match. I don't usually notice OSTs as much as everyone else but man they are FIRE in this one!!! The main highlightfor me is the one track that they used often early on, with the guitar?, that was also shown a bit more in the preview, it has this confidence of the establish teams and feels like they are in the flow of fun instead os the previous 3 seasons that felt like yearning, pushing, and antagonistic.
Overall, I think what the anime run of this match solidified for me was that this match wasn't supposed to be some big war/fight against seemingly impassable foe (like Shiratorizawa -fighting someone who is so high at top). What really drove home for me was that Inarizaki and Karasuno are quite similar- the strongest contenders vs. the strongestcl challengers.

I think this was explained in ep 22, but Inarizaki's motto is a reference to their philosophy of always challenging themselves today. They don't really care what rank they hold because that can always change and it was in the past. What matters to them is the future and more importantly, the present. Therefore, "We don't need the memories" is them letting people know that their past games don't matter. They just need to focus on the current one. Even before I learned what it meant, I thought that motto was fire.

One thing that gets me every time with the episode is how clearly it's calling back to the end of season one when Karasuno lost. Atsumu's inner monologue with the "this angle, this timing" before the back attack quick is exactly what Kageyama was thinking, and just like Oikawa, both Hinata and Kageyama read it and were able to block it. It's a beautiful full circle moment.

The little call backs in this episode that Furudate inputs small details that we usually don't think are impactful but later prove to be so important:
    1. "we're not looking for miracles" -it reminds us of Kita's mentality, you don't feel nervous because these things you've routinely done and practiced. Who needs miracles when all are hardwork should payed off.
    2. The commentary highlighting how libero, blockers, spikers, setters badically EVERYONE has to work hard.
"The view from the top. A scenery I will never be able to see on my own. But if i'm not alone, then... I just might be able to see it"
"Tsuki's choice to not force block Suna rintaro since he have his team's back."
    3. "I think everyone is surprised. But we weren't" Just for reference, that last part of Tsuki's line hits pretty hard. When he said that the quick was not invincible and that they knew that, it was referring all the way back to S1 match with Seijoh, even with the ultimate duo KageHina used the quick, it was block by seijoh and they weren't able to save it. It's an interesting parallel with the twins genuinely believing that their twin quick is fool proof and unstoppable that's exactly what we felt in S1 before they reinvented the quick, and that is why that was the perfect end to this fabulous game.
The writing in this show is really amazing. Now that Karasuno won, the most awaited "Battle at the Garbage Dump" is finally here with cats vs. crows.

well put. But i wish they add this dialogue in the anime. Putting more weight on Hinata's growth:
When Hinata received Suna's spike, coach Anabara said "I'm sorry Hinata-kun, from now on I'll stop using the word fluke on you." I wish they have kept that line in the anime :(((

@15:38 In Manga, Kenma called Shoyo merciless because the ball was about to go to the Inarizaki's court but he approached a spike as if he's telling Kageyama: "You can still set this ball to me, right?"
This is same during Kageyama's Japan Youth Camp when he set the ball and no one is there to get it. Like out of habit he expected someone to be there ready for spike like Shoyo.

Yo im so sad and excited for this ending and the new ones that are coming.
On another note it's not just a block, as Sheera said, i mean, obviously it's the block that won the game but, this is a reflection of what happened in the first season against Seijou, they did exactly what Inarizaki did just now, they took it to fast and under the pressure went for the most reliable thing atm, just like Oikawa read Kageyama and told his teammates to block Hinata, Kageyama know what it feels like to be in that moment of wanting to rely on speed, so they were able to expect and reed the brothers and thus, get the best point that has been scored in this anime other than Tsukkis block on Ushijima (imo)
Tsukki looked at the slogan we don’t need the memories before the rally that made that point, and the reason they got that point was because of their memories and learning from their mistakes.
Bro im fucking crying with Lupo man lmfao, this episode is 20?10 bro holy shit i got just as hyped as when i saw this come out.

Sheera's absolutely right, and that's why we see their motto of "We don't need the memories." Inarizaki lost to Karasuno in the exact same way that Karasuno lost to Aoba Johsai in season 1, which is what prompted Hinata to want to become an active player in the quick. Kageyama and Hinata were there for that block because they had the memories.
