‘Extremely serious’: FBI comments on ‘apparent assassination attempt’ of Donald Trump

- Miami FBI Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey Veltri says the “apparent assassination attempt” of Donald Trump is “extremely serious”.
The man arrested in relation to Donald Trump’s second assassination attempt has been charged with two federal gun crimes.
A court heard Ryan Routh was in the vicinity of the golf course for 12 hours before the Secret Service spotted the barrel of his gun poking out from the fence.
“The FBI immediately responded to the scene here in West Palm Beach, Florida, and we are investigating this matter as an apparent assassination attempt of former president Trump,” Mr Veltri said at a media conference.
“We view this as extremely serious and are determined to provide answers as to what led up to the events which took place.”
Call it domestic terrorism.
